Worst Embarkation Ever-Worst Buffet Food Ever

Review for a Asia Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Original ship boarding time was 2pm. Princess sent out notice of 3hr delay because of Chinese Fingerprinting of passengers. Sent out 2nd delay for 2hr because of Fog & late arrival. We arrived at terminal at 5pm to find about 2500 people stuffed into terminal waiting. They finally started boarding the "Elites" around 7pm, and we started about 8pm.. Had to trek thru rain to Chinese Immigration ...

Not for us.

We were only on the ship for 3 days thankfully. All announcements given in 6 languages. And on our 3 day cruise the muster drill was announced 3 times in 6 languages due to lack of attendance. Food was not good, On HA we eat in the dining room every night, on MSC we left the dining room first night and never went back. For the "every night option" on HA they have steak, on MSC noodles! No ...

Great itinerary ,Shanghai to Dubai, and beautiful ship. Ports were great except for Phuket where the locals were pests and we felt unsafe. Sshanghai, Singapore and Dubai were fantastic. Shore excursions too expensive, suggest you plan your own activities at each port. entertainment was poor and amateur and repetitive. Buffet food not warm and same every day. No coffee or tea in dining room ...

Disappointing experience

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We have traveled with Celebrity many times before, but the quality of services for this cruise was disappointing. Most notably, the air connections and transfers that were planned in our Celebrity cruise package through Celebrity's Choice Air program were not reliable at all. Our flight to Shanghai was delayed 8 hours, and we arrived exhausted. Then, going home, we learned that our ...

Great ship and itinerary but poor food and drinks service.

We chose this cruise because of its itinerary as we had never been to asia. Embarkation in Shanghai was very slow at least 2 and a half hours once on the ship all seemed great. First night in main restaurant was shockingly slow took an hour and a quarter to get our drinks and still waiting for starters. We had a table by the main service area absolutely freezing second night moved to another ...

Worst dining experience ever

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because Royal Caribbean are dependable for quality. Not so this ship. I had a premonition all would not be well when I entered the main dining room for my first dinner and my enquiry as to where table 346 was, was met with a vague wave of the hand somewhere towards the right hand side of the ship. After wandering around for a while I sat down at a ...

Not up to the standard expected from RCI this time!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

Certainly not on par with other RCI ships we have sailed on. Quality and choice of food was below standard. Entertainment was poor. Sea days were boring...not the usual choice of activities available; no shuffleboard type activities on offer at all. Time tabling of events was not favourable for the second sitting guests. Bar staff need training as there was a lot of "queue jumping". The choice of ...

Beware of cultural differences.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

First, I've cruised with Celebrity previously and had the perfect experience, hence, I chose them again. I wish we were informed regarding possible cultural issues. If so, we would have reassessed the trip and/or looked into another embarking port. We found the overwhelming cultural differences from the bulk of passengers from the host port had a profound impact on our experience; none good. And ...

Slipping Standards

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We are seniors from Florida with some mobility problems. Since we are Elite Plus, that shows that we've done a lot of travelling with Celebrity. Incidentally, the only added "plus" that Elite Plus over Elite seems to offer is unlimited cappuccinos and lattes, and since neither one of us drinks coffee, we were less than impressed. We strongly agree with a previous reviewer about the staffing, ...
