I would have rated this cruise a 3.5 overall. strong points being the destinations (fabulous) which were various, many and interesting, the staff (very trying their utmost and always available on Celebrity), the food at oceanview and at that extra charge Italian restaurant (cant already remember the name, but the food was awesome).
A special kudos to the Blu staff, overall excellent (better ...
Our holiday took place in the second half of October until a few days into November, it was arranged through CruiseCo and was one of their , ‘Tailor Made’ range of holidays that included some land based days as well as a 14 night cruise.
The title of my review is a good indication of where we went and I have to say on behalf of both my wife and I that as a first real venture into the Far East ...
SHIP : We choose this cruise because of the ports of call. However, I found the ship a bit old and "tired" and generally everything on the cruise was a bit "tired & old".
CABIN : We found the cabin adequate but somewhat small.
DINING & CREW : However, the dining room crew should be commended with top ratings - especially JJ in QSine. In addition, the staff and ambiance at the Japanese ...
After reading the reviews prior to the cruise we were very apprehensive of this cruise, how wrong we were. Yes the ship was older than others we have sailed on but the service onboard was second to none. The standards in the main restaurant was so good that we didn't spend as many evenings in the speciality restaurants as we have done on other ships. We had a concierge cabin and were very ...
After reading some of the earlier reviews of this ship I was very wary of this cruise. How wrong was I! The destinations where superb, the staff on board incredible, the food every night for two weeks was what we had come to expect, so much so in the main dining room that we only had dinner once in the speciality restaraunt on the first night. This has been our favourite cruise and will be ...
the millennium is an older ship but in wonderful shape for its age.The embarkation was a disaster (the only ugly situation on otherwise a magical cruise)It was not totally celebrities fault, something to do with customs but they did not in form or handle the chaos well.
We were in a sky suite and it was very comfortable and the team that looked after us was always there to please in any way.The ...
Yes she is missing some whistles and bells of newer designs but still is a great ship and this cruise was no different.
Loved all the different music venues around the ship, much different than previous Celebrity Cruises.
The food and service were top notch. First time in all our cruises that we actually had the Maître d stop by our table almost nightly to make sure everything was ...
We chose this cruise for the cruise line, the ship and the destinations. The Millennium is still good value with a big caveat. Celebrity has installed an outdoor cinema on deck 11 aft. Because of the cold weather we didn't spend much time on the balcony but the cinema was still intrusive. On the balcony or with the cabin door open it was very annoying. For this reason I would not travel on ...
I chose this cruise because of the itinerary as it covered many interesting destinations with the opportunity to get off in Beijing for 2 nights to be able to tour independently. The ship was an older ship but was very nice and the friendliness of staff and service was exceptional. We eat in the main dining area most nights an the food was of excellent quality and varied offering great choices ...
We have traveled with Celebrity many times before, but the quality of services for this cruise was disappointing.
Most notably, the air connections and transfers that were planned in our Celebrity cruise package through Celebrity's Choice Air program were not reliable at all. Our flight to Shanghai was delayed 8 hours, and we arrived exhausted. Then, going home, we learned that our ...
