We always have wanted to experience Asia. We chose Viking to do that knowing that they are the best in handling all details of your trips. This was no exception. While we were only on the ship for 8 days the rest of the time we toured Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Wuhan plus Guilin and several others. We chose this cruise as it covered a lot of ports that we had not preciously visited, plus it was a good price. However we found the number of passengers was more than comfortable for us. The ship is huge and would be ideal for families travelling with children and teens as there are lots of activities that would appeal, like the rock climbing wall wave pool etc.

We were on the Seabourn Sojourn with friends who were in suite 737. Their cruise was ruined by the constant loud noises from the patio bar on deck 8 above their suite. We were on a Cruise 1st combined China Land Tour and Japan Cruise. There were five buses of us and a further 4 buses of Trip-a-deal on the cruise. The itinerary was the reason we chose this cruise
The upgrade has been done to a very cheap budget
The staff as always ,wonderful service always smiling.
Main dining room , good food and service
Layout of ship because of size was a bit strange. Had to walk through casino to get to some places !!
Would have loved to have seen more space for dancing

We chose this cruise because of the Asian itinerary. Was on a Japan tour in 2017 on the Millennium and disliked the food and the weary shoddiness of the ship.. Happy to say everything is improved.
The food is so much improved in the main dining room. Only quirk was that a special Captians dinner had all the favorite foods on one night--Lobster, Rack of Lamb, and Beef Wellington.

This is our 3rd Regent cruise, and 2nd on the Mariner. Happy on the 1st & 2nd cruises, but not so on this one.

* Excursions: Wide choice and well executed.
