The SilverSea experience was poor, very poor.
Starting with the booking experience. The “consultant” provided no guidance, information or value. Matter of fact, I would have been better off if there was an online booking option.
As an example, we ended up booking a $500 transfer from Anchorage to Seward because we weren’t told about no cost SilverSea transport options.
Then the ...
We wanted to see Alaska and it’s Glaciers and had understood that Silversea was an all inclusive luxury line
Certainly the suite was well appointed but the public areas and restaurants were quite tired
The food was not comparable to that on the Oceania and hardly ever featured local cuisine….For example Alaskan crab. The buffet breakfast never varied and
Many of the included excursions ...
We recently booked a last-minute trip on the Silver Muse from Seward to Vancouver. For context, we've sailed Seabourn 5 times, most recently last month on the Venture, as well as trips on Celebrity and once on Disney. We REALLY wanted to like Silversea to have a good alternative to Seabourn, but this was not a good experience.

This cruise ship was not worth the money. They also could care less about cancelled flights and transportation which is included in your package. Horrible customer service. Food was average. Boat was small. Butler tired. Excursions ok at best. Only excursion I enjoyed was the one i booked myself. They sale you with all these add one but don’t deliver. Cruise was actually boring. Minimal activity. ...
This was my third Silversea cruise and my first ever time to Alaska. I chose to do the Denali extension ahead of the 7 night cruise, then two nights in Vancouver on my own, making this a 2 week trip in total.
First, the Denali extension. In my opinion this is completely skippable, and I was not impressed with much about the 4 night trip. The Captain Cook hotel is charming from a decor/history ...

Laundry service (complimentary with Silver Suite) was excellent; you get what you pay for.

We have been cruising with Regent Seven Seas for years but wanted to try Silver Sea for this trip. The ship did not disappoint. While there are fewer suite options and the Muse is a very small ship, the number and variety of restaurants and service staff really made this a near equal with the super luxurious Regent ships. We were in Suite, which was a great location. Our butler and house ...
We recently returned from an Alaska cruise on the Silver Muse. We wanted a really nice experience for our family…Silversea most certainly delivered! We loved the food! Not every meal was sensational, but every meal was really good. A few of our meals were sensational…most notably our meals at Silver Note and Kaiseki.
We found the excursions to be well run and of great quality. There was ...
A-lot of money for a average cruise, service was mediocre room's we're small for the premium price we paid. The butler was scarce had to track him down pretty much everyday. Food was excellent with plenty of choices but make reservations early, the restaurants are small. Big down side had to be back on boat before 3:30 every day so limited time for excursions. Do your do diligence, this was sold ...
Originally, we were booked on a Holland America Line (HAL) Alaska cruise with a Denali land extension. We have sailed HAL twice and enjoyed them. We have sailed Oceania many times also. But, when I spotted a Travelzoo deal for the same itinerary on Silversea Silver Shadow, we rebooked. Basically paid the same price as HAL but had the benefit of Silversea figuring out the air, transfers, all ...
