Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Chose Regents Seven Seas Mariner because we wanted to tour Alaska and the time of year and schedule were perfect. Recently we had sailed on Oceania so wanted to give Regents a try. Alaska is great if you want beautiful and amazing scenery and seeing landscapes you cannot see anywhere else in the world. It is pretty cool to see moose, bear, bald eagles, porpoises and whale living in the ...

Regents’ overwhelming message, its Corporate Mission Statement is, I believe, is “ Boy are you lucky we let you sail with US. Really lucky, and don’t you ever forget it.” We started sailing Regent in 2010 and have sailed six times, 70 nights. We have sailed four times on the Mariner, once on the Voyager, and once on the Explorer. Our most recent sailing was Alaska in August, 2017 on the ...

First Cruise/Fabulous Experience

I read all of the reviews I could find to select the best cruise for my family. I didn't want a huge ship with crowded facilities and screaming children. Although this cruise was pricey, the cruise discourages tips, and everything is included. There is no nickel and diming that I have heard occurs on other cruise lines. It turned out that this cruise met all of my expectations and more. The ...

A great cruise to a beautiful part of the country

The Mariner was a beautiful ship with amazing staff, lots to do, good food, great ports of call and fun excursions. It was our first trip to Alaska and it was great. The scenery was gorgeous all the way from north to south. The size is just right so you have enough variety in restaurants, activities, excursions but you do not feel like you are surrounded by hundreds of people. The cabins are ...

Other folks invited us to go with them , so we did as we had not sailed on this line prior. Really disappointing. Very inconsistent food and service in the dining venues except for Prime 7 and Signatures. Mediocre foods some night at best , very good other nights. A joke for a tea service in the late afternoons. We just expected so much more for this highly overpriced line and have received much ...

We chose this cruise because we were tired of being nickeled and dimed to death with other cruise lines & the Itinerary was one we had not experienced before, in addition my sister-in-law recently lost her husband and we invited her to join us. We went to some very nice ports and a few ugly ports... Guatemala and Ecuador. I have to say that this was a very enjoyable cruise except for the ...

Good food, tired cabin, food service ranged from very good to terrible

Summary: Exploring Alaska was an awesome, unforgettable experience, and traveling by cruise ship was an excellent--and comfortable--way to explore much of that huge state without having to relocate from hotel to hotel. It was also very convenient to have virtually all cruise-related costs (e.g., drinks, tips, most excursion fees, etc.) included in one overall cruise price. However, while the ...

Dream Cruise to Alaska

We chose the Regent 7 night cruise to Alaska on the advice of our very knowledgeable travel consultant at AAA in Stuart, FL. As first time cruisers, we were a little apprehensive on embarking on this adventure. No worries, it was a perfect vacation in every way. This cruise on the Seven Seas Mariner was an all inclusive trip which provided a spacious suite with a veranda, king bed, large bath ...

This was our first cruise on Regent and it surpassed our expectations. Staff and Service were excellent. Our penthouse suite was very nice, roomy and extremely well cared for.Our butler was always on hand for whatever we needed. All the restaurants were excellent with great wine choices and my wife particularly liked tea time with many pastry choices every day at 4 o'clock. What I think we ...

As a first time Regent traveler, we were excited to be on what was taunted as a Six Star cruise line with exceptional quality and service. What we received was a maximum Two Star cruise with a big price tag. The embarkation went very smoothly and we started our cruise full of excitement. The first couple of days went well except for the dining staff. The first morning we had breakfast I ...
