Transportation before and after not guaranteed

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Silver Whisper

This cruise ship was not worth the money. They also could care less about cancelled flights and transportation which is included in your package. Horrible customer service. Food was average. Boat was small. Butler tired. Excursions ok at best. Only excursion I enjoyed was the one i booked myself. They sale you with all these add one but don’t deliver. Cruise was actually boring. Minimal activity. ...

What’s happened to Regent?..

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

We have previously had two excellent cruises on Regent Voyager and have recommended the line to friends. We chose this cruise in Alaska which included the Rocky Mountaineer train. A similar cruise with Silversea departed on similar dates, we now wish we’d chosen that one…. The Rocky Mountaineer element was excellent, made more so by the two charming and hyper-efficient ladies from Regents UK ...

SEWAGE on Regent Seven Seas Mariner Do NOT CHOOSE Regent Seven Seas… 1 star rating for the Regent Seven Seas Mariner and agent who booked it for the following reasons: I wanted to give you true feedback on my recent cruise that began on Sept 7 2022 from Vancouver Alaska Inside Passage. I asked for a total refund for the upgrade to DECK 8. $5,600. 1. SEWAGE on my DECK 8. This was on the ...

Disappointing Cruise

I booked two back to back cruises going for 30 days from Seward, AK to Hong Kong, but ended up disembarking in Hiroshima 11 days earlier, because I could not stand the ship food anymore as well as the change in itinerary. I wished I could have disembarked earlier, but I could not do it because of a Typhoon that hit Japan. The transfer from Anchorage to Seward was an awful 4 1/2 hours packed ...

Alaska Cruise and Pre-Cruise Land Tour A Total Rip-Off

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Star Legend

User Avatar

The pre-cruise land tour spent most of its time figuring out how to fill time instead of showing us the sights. The guide was less than knowledgeable. We paid a great deal, but were often told to go out and get our own meals at our expense. It became obvious that the person in charge of the tour had no interest in the excursions nor any knowledge of how good they were. This characteristic ...

Disappointing Ripoff

My husband and I have always wanted to see Alaska. Unfortunately, we chose Windstar's costly 14-day cruise on the 200-passenger Star Legend and 4-day pre-cruise to Denali. We were extremely disappointed. After many cruises on lines ranging from Tauck, Silverseas, and Star Clipper to Royal Caribbean, this is--by far--the worst experience we ever had. The 4-day pre-cruise trip through Denali was ...

The big disappointment

Just finishing our Alaska to Eastern Russia and Japan cruise on the explorer. Probably the worst cruise of my life. The ship was very nice, crew and ship's staff great. The expedition team for the most part was good with the exception of the expedition leader, who was dysfunctional. The expedition staff members failed to work together, we booked this specifically for the chance to see Bears and ...

Expensive but NOT Luxury

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Star Legend

My wife and I had taken 6 cruises to Alaska on various Celebrity ships. We felt that each cruise was a great value and that the amenities and service were wonderful. We decided to try a small ship experience. The per day cost of the 14-night Windstar cruise was almost twice that of our previous cruises including a cruise-tour on Celebrity. However, we were promised a luxury experience. It if ...

The shore excursions are a rip off, we did a fishing trip where we never had a chance to even touch a fishing pole. Because they put 6 of us on a tiny boat and pulled names who ever got to go first fished until they caught a salmon. Problem was only two people got a chance to fish they caught a on of other fish just not salmon. So 4 of us never were able to fish. Which it cost $290 a person for ...

Worst Cruise Line Ever

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

This cruise line thinks it is the best ships in the fleet of ALL cruises. Boy oh boy are they wrong!!!!!!! The regent's is too expensive for what you get. The room was old and run down. There was a dead roach in my room when we walked in, for the first time. They say your excursions are included, if you book a year in advance. I tried 2 months before and everything was booked. It seems more ...
