I chose this cruise because we had sailed on the Millennium 3 previous times and we really looking forward to this cruise but were greatly disappointed. Previously the food was great, flakey pastries that were delicious and a variety of great foods were presented in the Metropolitan Restaurant, Chilled Watermelon Soup, a variety of gourmet foods and if one didn't like what was available a New ...

Very Disappointing Cruise

This cruise was recommended by our Travel Agent. We were very disappointed with the ship and the food. While the staff was courteous and accommodating, it couldn't make up for where the shipped lacked. We found it a rather boring cruise with not much to do on the ship. The sit down dinners were extremely disappointing. The beef was tough and full of grizzle. The chicken was rubbery. The ...

Brief details about us. We were 3 women in our 60s traveling together for the 12 days. We were in Royal Suite 6139 for the cruise portion. We had the Land Tour of 5 days before boarding the Millennium in Seward on May 20. I will review the land portion first. We flew into Fairbanks on Sunday, May 15 and were met at the airport by a rep who put us and others on a bus to the hotel, Sophie Place. It ...

Don't Take the First Cruise Of The Season To Alaska On Celebrity

I will never take the first cruise of the season again (no matter how good the price is) because it is the last cruise for the crew before their contract is up and they were tired. I know this because the crew constantly complained of this. The Millineum was coming from a 3-week cruise from China and they brought with them the noravirus, which caused every imaginable problem for my cruise before I ...

Company cut the spending - Celebrity Millennium Alaska May 2013

Royal Caribbean Cruises reported a $392 million loss for the fourth quarter. Company tried to cut the spending. Food quality is disappointing. The waiter had to explain on every single night that some dishes on the menu were not available due to routine problem or bad food quality, such as no escargots, lack of fresh fruit and vegetable. A lot people got sick, vomiting and diarrhea. Passengers ...

We were looking for a cruise line to frequent and heard that celebrity was good, boy was that wrong in our case! It's been a few months since we went and some of the issues I don't remember but here are a few reasons I am telling my friends to not cruise Celebrity. First the good stuff. The beef wellington, mashed potatoes and chocolate cake were great. The sightseeing & scenery was everything ...

June 2011 Millenium - A Huge Disappointment

This June, I decided to take my mother to go on Celebrity Alaska cruise as a way of relaxing and celebrating a hard-worked year (I'm a teacher, so my year goes from September to August). This was my 5th cruise my mother's 4th, and we've always tried to take different cruise line for each trip. After reading the Cruise Critics review, we were both excited about Celebrity, since it was named the ...
