Alaska at Its Best

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Viking Orion

This was our third Viking Cruise and I doubt we’ll ever sail with anyone else. Viking treats you like royalty. The cabin/staterooms are immaculate, the personnel are the best, the various restaurants offer an unbeatable selection, etc. The long awaited (due to the pandemic) Alaskan Cruise with the Denali and Vancouver extensions lived up to our expectations! We visited some excellent ports ...

A wonderful trip on the sea

My husband did a lot of research and we both thought Viking would be best. We like that Viking seems to be catering to adults and not children or teenagers. All the excursions sounded great and with a large variety. So all-in-all we felt that Viking was what we were looking for. We never felt closed in or crowded. We met several interesting people that we enjoyed getting to know close to our ...

This cruise was amazing! The ship was beautiful and the staff was so kind and attentive. Our room steward was so nice and kept our cabin spotless. Also best bathroom I have seen on a cruise. The shower was simply heaven. The food was fantastic and everything was included which was so nice. The wine which was included with dinner and lunch was always really nice. Our favorite place for snacks and ...

This was the best cruise ever! Phenomenal customer service to the point that we all felt like family. We enjoyed everything from the moment we got on the ship to the time we disembarked. The customer service was unmatched- so many of the staff knew our names and welcomed us as family. We loved the spa so much and used the steam room, snow grotto, thermal spa, sauna and cold plunge almost daily ...

We chose Viking for our long awaited Alaska trip based on Viking's reputation and the rave reviews of the services provided by Viking. We were celebrating our anniversary on the day of embarkment, and there was a lovely card and cake awaiting as we arrived in our stateroom. The ship was a perfect size, adults only, and the food, service, and entertainment was exceptional! Our stateroom was clean ...

This was our very first ocean cruise and we chose Viking for an Alaskan cruise. No casinos, no nightclubs, adults only, cultural lectures,..... this fit perfectly for us. What amazed us more was the attentive staff, the quality of the food, the accessibility of delicious food and drink, the cleanliness and perfect decor of a Norwegian ship, a spacious stateroom, twice daily housekeeping, and the ...

Small Ship Ocean Sailing At Its Finest

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Viking Orion

My wife and I chose Viking for our first Ocean Cruise largely because of our wonderful experiences with Viking on several River Cruises, including Russia, China and our Sojourn through Europe. We were not disappointed in the least. The Orion was fresh, clean and offered everything we could have wanted. What was missing was a casino and young children, and we praise Viking for those details. I ...

we chose Viking because, as mature people we like their focus on "no kids, no casinos", assuming that they target individuals like ourselves. while the ship was impressive and the crew delightful, we traveled with a friend who has difficulty walking long distances, and Viking had NO options for him, nor did they respond--both before and during the cruise--to his requests for assistance. They ...

A step down from perfection

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Silver Muse

This was my third Silversea cruise and my first ever time to Alaska. I chose to do the Denali extension ahead of the 7 night cruise, then two nights in Vancouver on my own, making this a 2 week trip in total. First, the Denali extension. In my opinion this is completely skippable, and I was not impressed with much about the 4 night trip. The Captain Cook hotel is charming from a decor/history ...
