Exceptional Viking Experience

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Viking Orion

From the time you embark to disembark, your experience will be amazing with Viking. The Alaska 10 day itinerary was perfect, leaving Seward and ending in Vancouver. The Orion and crew are exceptional. I wish we had gotten this review earlier so we could mentioned every one…. From the cabin attendants, spa, dining, to the bar tenders, everyone brought their A games and provided amazing ...

Decadence of a ship with the beauty of nature

Can't beat an Alaskan Cruise. The scenery is unbelievable. This was our 5th Alaskan Cruise and we've booked another. The Orion was decadent in the room, the Restaurant, the Cafe, or the forward lounge. The food was great. We loved our aft suite, watching the ship's wake. The wrap-around deck allowed great views as we sailed the glaciers and the fjords. The cabin stewards were super, and all ...

Nothing but disappointment from Celebrity on the Millenium.

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

I have sailed on 31 cruises now and Celebrity Millennium takes the cake for, by far, the worst I have been on yet. What is so disappointing to me is Celebrity Edge is by far my favorite ship I have sailed on. Celebrity was my preferred brand until this cruise. For added context I am in my late 40s and sailed with my adult family in concierge class rooms - I bring this up because while it may ...

Transportation before and after not guaranteed

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Silver Whisper

This cruise ship was not worth the money. They also could care less about cancelled flights and transportation which is included in your package. Horrible customer service. Food was average. Boat was small. Butler tired. Excursions ok at best. Only excursion I enjoyed was the one i booked myself. They sale you with all these add one but don’t deliver. Cruise was actually boring. Minimal activity. ...

Wonderful Cruise, but no so great for Teens

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

Overall this was an amazing trip, full of once-in-a lifetime memories with friends and family. Our family cruises frequently and have cruised on Disney, Royal Caribbean, and NCL. This was only our second time on NCL and overall we had a wonderful time on the Spirit. The only downside was that we were traveling with our 14 YO son, and this cruise is definitely not the best for kids or teens - ...

Back on the NCL Jewel... 16 years later.

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

An Alaska cruise has been on our bucket list for quite some time so when planning this, I saw that the Jewel was a potential itinerary. We sailed on the Jewel back in 2007 (Italy and France) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Seeing that it was renovated recently, we thought we'd give it a try and we were glad that we did. My wife and I sailed with our two daughters (in their 20's). We booked the ...

Disappointment

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This was my first cruise with Celebrity and my second cruise to Alaska. My first cruise to Alaska was on NCL's Bliss. I had read that this cruise line was "upscale" however my experience was mediocre. The buffet food and main dining room food was sub-par. The wait staff were pleasant. I didn't eat at a specialty restaurant, so I cannot speak on that. There were very few activities geared for ...

In the past ratings were 5s...not now

We took this cruise to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. We knew this was an older, smaller ship but we liked the itinerary so went with it. While the ship is older and could use updating, it is nevertheless impeccably clean and well maintained. That is one thing you can say for Celebrity....their ships are always immaculately clean! Our veranda cabin was smaller than what I am accustomed ...

Viking Orion is Awesome

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Viking Orion

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

We wanted to take a family cruise to Alaska on a premiere cruise line. We considered other cruise lines, but wanted to experience a smaller ship, with veranda rooms, no young children and did not need an amusement park on board. Viking fit our needs. BTW, no waiting to embark or disembark. Everything was clean! Cabin staff even folded and put away clothing I had left from the day ...

Our Alaska cruise was fantastic!

We had cancelled 2 river cruises due to Covid 2021 and then Ukraine war 2022. We decided to go to Alaska on a Viking cruise because the ship housed less than 1000 guests and Alaska was on our bucket list. The Viking ship Orion and all of her crew were the most wonderful people. No one wanted to ever tell us no for any request. The food was delicious at all stations and restaurants. We ...
