Very disappointing cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

The highlight of this cruise was to visit Jamestown, however after only two hours at anchor at St. Helena, the captain set sail for 6 days at sea saying we could not tender in. The ocean was calm but you could see waves crashing against the wharf. I queried why we could have not waited until afternoon to see if the waves would have subsided and his response was that there wasn’t enough time in ...

Poor Service on the cruise and worse customer service after the cruise.

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

The only things that were excellent on this cruise were the entertainment and laundry service. The food was good but not great and the slow sit-down service pushed you toward the buffets (which I do not like). The excursion were only fair, going to some very poor locations. The worst part of the trip was that we had essentially NO WiFi in our 2 cabins and the IT specialist knew that there were ...

Very disappointed in Regent. You can tell that they are cutting corners, especially on the food. The staff are friendly, the highlight of this trip. Many new people, not well trained, especially at the patio grill. They never got my order right. The internet in our cabin was non existent. Their IT guy told us to stand in the hall to receive wifi. We had a previous cruise on this ship 3 months ago ...

Lack of the usual regent quality

We are a young 40s couple who likes good food and high end service. We aren’t avid cruisers, but we go on at least 1 cruise/yr in addition to private vacations with A&k and Kensington and have been on over 30+ cruises (Disney, regent, NCL, royal carribean, etc etc). On our first regent cruise, we knew we’d be younger than most of the passengers—we sailed in the carribbean on the splendor. We ...

A disappointment from day 1 !

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

After 2 years of lockdown, we were finally going back to cruising. Sadly we believed Regents claim of "an unrivaled experience". I suppose they were unrivaled. WIth all our cruises, we have NEVER experienced the poor service we experienced with Regent. I could not figure why we started in Spain, but Spain was the supposed first day. Actually, the first day on the ship was still not there. ...

We had wanted to try Regent seven seas for a while and when my travel agent contacted me with this cruise I booked a concierge room on deck 9. After two years not cruising we were so looking forward to sailing with the top cruise line ! This cruise was not a good experience from the start, the transfers were appalling, 150 people all waiting by the baggage reclaim at Rome airport for over an an ...

Big Disappointment

We have never been on Regent before, and made the choice about 6 weeks before sailing on the assurance that mask wearing was discretionary throughout the ship, due to Regent’s advanced air circulation/ventilation system on board. This proved to be wrong on receipt of an email that due to sailing in EU waters, COVID rules were in full operation on board. Bad Start! No cancellation ...

We chose this cruise because of it's itinerary. We have cruised a lot. In a nutshell, the ship itself met our expectations. Comfortable. Clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good. Entertainment good. Our only disappointment were the excursions -- unless you pay extra, you get mediocre excursions -- mostly long bus rides. But the poor rating has nothing to do with the excursions. ...

A tired and jaded ship with invisible staff and poor food services

Chose this because cruise on explorer last year was great. Sadly this was a waste of money and took until day six to sort all issues out. Aft cabin ( 675) intolerable because of vibration. Bought this specifically for balcony size. Moved to ( downgraded) veranda suite ( 754) Filthy balcony with caulking between teak boards stripping out and staining carpet, clothes shoes. After carpenters ...

Anyone reading my other reviews will know that I am a huge fan of Regent, we have met many lovely people over the years, welcomed them to our hoes and even gone to their weddings. As Cruise Critic makes clear in its own review of the Voyager, the make up of the guests are generally well educated, well travelled people and they choose Regent because they will meet likeminded people. The ship, ...
