Fantastic crew and ports but a couple negatives as well

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

We mostly chose this cruise for the amazing itinerary. Iceland, Norway, Shetland Islands, Amsterdam and Bruges Belgium which did not disappoint. The crew was absolutely amazing, they just couldn’t do enough for us and we’re always asking if there was anything else we needed or wanted. Many knew our names a drink preferences by the third day. We were treated like royalty. Voyager is 23 years old ...

We have cruised many times before - but this was a step up for us in terms of quality ( and price ) but the all inclusive fare was brilliant . Compared to other cruise experiences I think what you are paying for is space - both in the suite which was a really good size ( and the first time we had more storage than we needed for clothes ) , but also in the public areas where we never had to wait ...

Regent is struggling to provide a quality product.

First Regent cruise. We were disappointed, compared to our experiences on Oceania and Seabourn, and even Holland America. Here are some of the issues: All the restaurants are understaffed. People worked hard, but are stretched too thin, so service was often slow and spotty. We tried room service from Compass Rose once. A two hour wait from order to delivery. Very few of the crew ...

We have sailed Carnival (1st cruise) Celebrity, Disney when our kids were young, moved up and settled on Crystal. Sadly when Crystal folded, we had to find another "luxury line". This was our first cruise in 3 years, and we had been looking forward to trying Regent as we had heard wonderful things. We actually started this cruise on June 16th in Bilbao, and picked this cruise to see Ireland and ...

Regent Voyager Baltic: great but room for improvement

we chose this cruise for an anniversary celebration and because we neither of us had been to the Baltic Area. St Petersburg was a real draw. Overall the ship was a great experience and the Baltic 10 day cruise Copenhagen to Stockholm was the trip of a lifetime. We recommend spending 3 days in St. Petersburg if you can. But as with everything, there are pros and cons. In general, we, being ...

This was a special birthday cruise chosen because of three days in St Petersburg, on a small ship similar to the Navigator we had cruised on 10 years previously. We booked an overnight stay in Stockholm and would have liked more time there as its a pretty city with lots to do. It's was 6pm by the time we got out of the hotel. We were transported to the hotel and to the airport and embarked ...

Regent Seven Seas: falling off in the last year, 6 star no more!

This is my second time cruising with Regent, obviously I loved the first time around having booked another vacation with them. I unfortunately have not had the same success as i did the first go around. 1.) Butler Service- I paid the extra for it and it has been an absolute waste. 4.5 hours to get 2 bottles of vodka to the room (no ice bucket with it even though I requested it) 2.) ...

My husband's brother and his wife are seasoned cruisers and suggested we join them on Voyager. We have cruised three times before but never with Regent. It was fabulous. There was a computer technical hitch which meant we had to wait quite a while before embarkation but as we had enjoyed the previous day's independent tour of Copenhagen which included a wonderful river cruise and spitefully ...

First timers on Regent - An honest review

Having experienced many other cruise lines in the past (Celebrity, RCI, Norwegian, Princess, Azamara), a good offer came up and we jumped at the chance of trying Regent, never having thought we would be able to afford or justify the prices normally asked. In general, it was a fantastic cruise that lived up to expectations, but like all things, it wasn't 100% perfect and I shall list the good ...

What changes since NCL takeover?

This is our 5th Regent cruise, first since take over by NCL, one of the mass marketing cruiseline trying to break into luxsury market and we were curious to experience the changes. We noticed the change in staffing level which caused late delivaries of meal service, lack of service in buffet area. Example, there were always plenty of staff to assist with plates full of food to your seat, never had ...
