My wife and I traveled on Regent Mariner for the first time on this cruise line. Even though the ship shows some signs of wear, the crew could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We liked the itinerary and the cruise line. Regent is expensive, but you don't get nickeled and dimed on board. The size (small) of the ship also made it attractive.
My mjain complaint was the lack of activities and the lack of variation in the activities. Since my wife and I like "brain" games - trivia of various sorts, this cruise was lacking.

Absolutely fabulous! Great food and friendly service.
Since Mariner was due for refurbishment in a few weeks, I was concerned that it would be very "tired". I found that was not the case. The refurbishment had to be postponed a year because of damage by Hurricane Matthew to the facility that was to do the work.

We recently spent 21 nights on Regent Mariner’s Amazon Jungles and Rainforests cruise. Although this was our 20th cruise, it was our first cruise on Regent and probably our last. This was a wonderful cruise. The first leg from Buenos Aires to Rio was port intensive with one sea day and a mix of cities and small seaside towns. Loved the itinerary as it was a combination of great cities and beach resorts. Terry Breen the enrichment speaker is excellent and really makes new locations come alive.
