Good Cruise to the Amazon
"Overall we liked the cruise and the ship but ultimately decided it was our last Regent cruise for several reasons – expensive cruise and small ship with limited entertainment - biggest advantage was free drinks but we aren’t big drinkers. The small casino was not open very often as we had a lot of stops but it seemed empty when it was open...."Read More

Not 6 Star

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had been on Regent Seven Seas Navigator before and had a great cruise. Everything was perfect, so when this cruise came up from Miami to Miami on Mariner into the Amazon, we booked the trip and looked so much forward to go. But already the first evening there was problems to go into the restaurant. They didn't have enough seat for people and we had to wait, for quite some time. It happened more ...

My wife and I just finished a 25 day cruise to the Amazon River in Brazil on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner. We are in our mid 60s and have cruised over 30 times mostly on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian. This was our first “luxury cruise”. The itinerary was round trip Miami with many stops in the Caribbean and 3 days up the Amazon River to Manaus, Brazil. Everything was included in the fare – ...

My Husband and I were very excited to sail on our first Regent Cruise. We had heard a lot about the company from many of our friends. We are seasoned cruisers, mostly in retreat class on Celebrity. We are people who never complain. The glass is half full not half empty, and the upsets on this cruise were so bad that it ruined my trip. The worst thing is friends are asking me how my trip was ...

Pleasant first cruise with some issues

This was our first cruise on a Regent Seven Seas ship. We've been cruising for over 30 years and have a lot of experience. Overall we enjoyed the experience on the Mariner, but would not likely sail on her again until she's been to dry dock for a refit and some needed repairs. This is an old ship and it's got some mechanical issues that will probably continue to haunt it until it gets dry ...

We chose this cruise because of an ACBL sponsored on-board duplicate bridge tournament and because it stopped at ports I had not been to previously. This review is of the Regent Seven Seas Mariner in particular, a ship which should have been taken out of service and given a major upgrade. One should have a compelling reason to book on this ship while it is in this condition. The toilets in ...

The all-inclusive trip began with a beautiful departure out of NYC, and ended in Miami. Favorite stops were Bermuda, St. Barths and the ABC islands. Accommodations were superb, dining excellent, evening entertainment was also very good. They really make sure you have plenty to eat and top quality cocktails and liquors. After each evening's entertainment we frequented the same lounge and the ...

Mariner is not in good shape - needs an overhaul big time!

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...

The Amazon

We wanted to visit the Amazon. It was worth the price of many sea days (which we normally try to minimize). We just returned, arriving in Miami Jan 6, 2020. It was a solid 4 star experience, based on 20 cruises on 12 cruise lines. The all-inclusive feature is nice, although for those of us who don’t drink, free alcohol is not a benefit. Not being nickel-dimed is worth it, unlike certain cruise ...

We were excited to take this cruise because we wanted to visit the Amazon. Additionally friends had told us how wonderful Regent Cruise lines is The shore trips were marginal and poorly executed. The guides were extremely inexperienced and lacked knowledge The best bird sightings were at the zoo in Manaus. Not what we expected. The food was barely average. It lacked creativity and ...

Disappointing experience this ship is poorly managed, never again!!!!

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We have been with Regent over 100 nights. In general we were treated like children and pushed around for tours, dining, the Mariner is poorly run in general. The management doesn't care and is openly hostile. This is the culture on this ship now and has never been the culture in the past. Our cruise was tremendously expensive and we did not have the advertised 6****** experience. Trouble on ...
