good not great, not as advertised.
"There was limited, if any, entertainment, the personal service was non-existent, we paid for a butler and specific requests to be fulfilled and did not receive it.Clearly Regent Cruises agreed because they offered all passengers a 50% discount on a future cruise to make up for everything that was lacking, however having paid top dollar we think a refund is in order rather than being given a limited sales incentive...."Read More

Not 6 Star

Review for a South America Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had been on Regent Seven Seas Navigator before and had a great cruise. Everything was perfect, so when this cruise came up from Miami to Miami on Mariner into the Amazon, we booked the trip and looked so much forward to go. But already the first evening there was problems to go into the restaurant. They didn't have enough seat for people and we had to wait, for quite some time. It happened more ...

Pleasant first cruise with some issues

This was our first cruise on a Regent Seven Seas ship. We've been cruising for over 30 years and have a lot of experience. Overall we enjoyed the experience on the Mariner, but would not likely sail on her again until she's been to dry dock for a refit and some needed repairs. This is an old ship and it's got some mechanical issues that will probably continue to haunt it until it gets dry ...

Disappointing experience

We chose Regents for our 20th wedding anniversary trip. We heard it was the best. We had one of their best suited and lost a full nights sleep the first night on board because there were exhaust fumes coming in our room from a faulty system plus the front door didn’t actually close completely and rattled all night, plus, plus, plus. It was a hellish night. They can and fixed everything ...

The Mariner doesn't look/act like a Regent Ship

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

1. We are platinum Regent travelers. And have taken cruises on many other ships too. Before covid we sailed on all the Regent ships, including the Mariner (8 yrs. ago). We did 2 cruises with the Splendor earlier this year, making up for lost time since the pandemic. Let me begin that we have been spoiled with the Explorer and now the Splendor. The Mariner is not the same ship we enjoyed years ...

Second Time on Mariner, Last With Regent?

We chose this cruise because we had our honeymoon on Seven Seas Mariner in 2014 and thought this itinerary was interesting. After eight years away, the Mariner has had a top to bottom refurb and the ship looks great! Service for the most part was wonderful - especially our cabin stewards and the observation lounge waiters/bar staff. Free laundry and pressing made packing much less ...

Overrated Luxury

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We are regular cruisers and for our cruise to Alaska we felt we would benefit more from the small ship experience. Our travel agent recommended Regent as the most luxurious cruise line. Maybe we just expected to much. The ship itself was immaculate and all the staff were very courteous. However, we found the standard of the food to be dissapointing, the main difference in mainline cruises and ...

Disappointing Cruise

We just returned from our first cruise on a regent ship to Alaska. We sailed on June 3rd out of Seward and disembarked in Vancouver. Prior to sailing on Regent, we have been on many other lines; Viking Ocean, Oceania, Paul Gauguin, Princess, RCC, Holland America and Celebrity. We have been on Alaska cruises before, but this time I convinced my DH to try a “luxury line.” I am using the ...

Cruise was satisfactory, however the staff was inadequate and inexperienced. We were disappointed that there seemed to be no serious attempt at providing the social experience or entertainment experience that had been advertised and promised. We were continually told that the staff was short due to covid. We were continually asked by the staff how we wanted something, food or service, then ...

Went to join the ship at Lima Peru, taking a taxi to the port, we were told that we would have to wait for 2 hours outside the port area as there was no terminal, so we were at the side of the road in a very unpleasant dock area, we were joined by others who were shocked at our treatment, a disabled lady who couldn't stand got a chair from a good samaritan dock worker. Eventually after an ...

Regent vs. Oceania

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Here's how we would (and do) compare Regent to Oceania. The ship was lovely, our cabin was spacious, and the walk-in closet was more than sufficient. In addition, the service was very good, albeit not quite up to what we have come to expect on Oceania. The showroom and shows were every bit as good as Oceania. The entertainment director, Andy, was the best we have ever had and we met some really ...
