Disappointingly average with serious housekeeping issues

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

My wife and I are cruisers of 20 years and this was our first time on Regent. We chose back-to-back cruises in the Eastern Med in a Mariner suite and we were extremely disappointed by our experience. The ship, the dining, the entertainment were all painfully average, but the trip was totally marred by housekeeping issues. A stain on a sheet on the first night was changed quickly and efficiently. ...

We've been interested in trying Regent for some time, and this itinerary caught our eyes as it covered some lesser-visited ports we wanted to see. One thing I hadn't realized is that Mariner was ending the World Cruise in Barcelona immediately prior to our cruise; I think the fact that a large block of the staff turned over in Barcelona (and maybe a few of the others had gotten settled in a ...

Mariner is not in good shape - needs an overhaul big time!

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...

This was our first Cruise on RSS, having completed several cruises before on other Cruise lines (on larger 1500-1800 passengers, 4* equivalent ships). We had high hopes for RSS, having considered Silversea’s and only chosen to book with Regent because of their itinerary for this section of South America we wanted to sail. Covid issues in 2021 then cancelled this cruise and so this was our ...

Disappointing experience

We chose Regents for our 20th wedding anniversary trip. We heard it was the best. We had one of their best suited and lost a full nights sleep the first night on board because there were exhaust fumes coming in our room from a faulty system plus the front door didn’t actually close completely and rattled all night, plus, plus, plus. It was a hellish night. They can and fixed everything ...

The Mariner doesn't look/act like a Regent Ship

1. We are platinum Regent travelers. And have taken cruises on many other ships too. Before covid we sailed on all the Regent ships, including the Mariner (8 yrs. ago). We did 2 cruises with the Splendor earlier this year, making up for lost time since the pandemic. Let me begin that we have been spoiled with the Explorer and now the Splendor. The Mariner is not the same ship we enjoyed years ...

This was our first time on Regent. (Previous cruises were on Princess and Holland America). We are signed up for the 2024 WC on the Mariner and wanted to test out Regent, the ship and the suite on a shorter cruise before committing to the full WC. We were fortunate to be able to get the same suite for both cruises so it was an apples to apples comparison. The public areas of the ship are beautiful ...

Very disappointed in Regent. Not the quality Regent experience we expected after highest recommendations from friends. AIRPORT TRANSFER - baggage came quickly, then we waited over an hour for the transfer agent to take us to the bus. PRE-CRUISE HOTEL - Beverly Wilshire was lovely. Large room with French doors out to a patio. Luxurious and excellent service. Regent breakfast was good but ...

Poor Food, Wine Service

Just back from a 12 day cruise “Hollywood/Mexico”. Have previously cruised on Explorer and Navigator. My views are; WELLCOME Plastic and poor, like take a glass of warm Champagne and get on with it. No directions, no can I assist you or genuine smile WINE Appalling house wine. Cheapest of cheap. On previous Regent cruises premium wines were part of the package, anytime and anywhere ...

First and last time on Regent 6 STARS!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We are long time cruisers with over 20 cruises on several different cruise lines. Now that we are in our early to mid 60’s and retired, we decided to try Regent Seven Seas to see if it might be a fit for us (money being no object). We were excited to go on a ‘luxury all inclusive cruise’ that touts itself as ‘6 Stars’. Our flight arrived in LAX and after collecting our luggage we waited for ...
