Overall, I (solo traveler) had a nice time. However, midway through the cruise I went to the Observation Lounge for a drink after dinner. The server came over to take my order, but then reminded me of the dress code (see below). I was extremely confused as I was wearing a white blouse, black skirt, and heels. I asked him to clarify, but he just repeated himself. After bringing me my drink, I felt ...
Chose cruise for its all inclusive features. No worry about WiFi charges, drink charges, etc.
Thought the food was excellent, especially the no-res needed Italian Setti Marie. The expansive pool side grill offered many choices in addition to usual burger/hot dog items.
Gym was really nice, stretching across the ship’s beam at the stern. All equipment working and clean.

The Regent ships are smaller. Approximately 750 passengers and 500 crew. The amenities; service, food, entertainment; are fantastic. The cruise is all inclusive (the cost of alcohol, food, tips, excursions are generally all included). Certain premium items (high end alcohol, tours, spa services) need to be paid extra for. A $400 per room credit is provided to pay for some these types of ...
We chose this cruise line upon advice of a travel agent and used it first in March of 2015 ( Navigator ). We felt guilty we were treated so well. the excursions and ports were all fantastic and we could not find enough time in the day to do or enjoy all the ship had to offer. The captain and many of the crew we recognized from the Navigator in 2015. That made us feel very confident.
As with ...
We chose this ship because it was the latest in the Regent line
The ship itself is absolutely beautiful. The decor, the bathrooms, cabins, and dining rooms are superbly decorated.
The speciality restaurants are glamorous and the food was what we would have expected. Great choices, wonderfully presented, and delicious.
The only complaint here is that the Prime 7 and indeed all of them are ...
We chose this cruise to escape from the harsh NYC winter, check out the much-touted Explorer and celebrate our anniversary. This was our first Regent cruise, previously sailed on Seabourn, Paul Gauguin and Ponant (the latter with Tauck). First thing we noticed was the elderly (75+) demographic and lack of diversity among passengers. We are 60, fun loving, laid back and friendly. Didn't get to ...
Hello hobbitons and thank you for choosing to celebrate your anniversary aboard Seven Seas Explorer. As a first time guest with us, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your overall cruise....
The ship was great. Unfortunately, the weather not so much so (but wasn't within Regent's control.)
The cabin was spacious, particularly the bathroom area.
The dinning was excellent in all of the dinning rooms. The staff was always attentive but never rushing. I particularly liked the wine selection. The listed wines were very good but the wine steward was always quick to offer other options ...
Billed as the most luxurious ship ever built, the Explorer lives up to this accolade. The incredible artwork and Murano glass in the public areas lend an air of decadence to the space. Speaking of space, this ship has it in abundance!
In concierge suite 644, we loved the extra room on the side of the bed which was positioned to give a view out of the windows, a genius decision. Storage space ...
First all inclusive cruise experience
Chose the Seven Seas Explorer to find out what an all inclusive luxury cruise is all about. Have sailed 16 previous times on main stream cruise lines mostly to the Caribbean. The ship was nicely appointed and the deck plans were laid out well. Missing from this cruise were children, photographers, souvenir drink glasses, music at the pool, smoking in ...
Almost everything about this cruise was wonderful. The ship is beautiful. The food, service and entertainment were all very good. We liked the new restaurant, Pacific Rim, and thought the expanded menu in Compass Rose was an improvement. We liked the food in Chartreuse better than the old Signatures. But we thought the menu in Sette Mari could use an update.
According to the RSSC ...
