Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Unfortunately, The Regent Experience was not even close to what we were expecting. 1-. The staff is great and friendly, but there is no leadership and lack of training. That results in very poor service and sometimes no service at all, a lot of confusion and frustration. To be able to get a drink or a soda, was at times imposible. 2-. The quality of the food is average at best, I would ...

As it claims to be the world most luxurious cruise ship, I chose this cruise trip to celebrate my husband's 60th special birthday with my family, hoping it to be a memorable one but it turned out to be totally disappointing! Despite my previous arrangement with the cruise co about my husband's birthday before the trip and reminded them again on the first day we boarded the "Explorer" for the ...

Luxurious Ship BUT

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

The ship is absolutely beautiful - both public spaces and cabins. Like a very luxurious hotel. By appearances, you could easily forget that you were on a cruise ship - more like being at a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons, and our Explorer Suite category cabin was extremely comfortable. But that was the problem. It was all about appearances. That may be enough for some, and you would not be ...

Great cruise but poor experience with booking future cruises and butler.

The best of the best new ship.... Luxury "All Inclusive" Every part of the cruise from the beginning up until the last 2 days. 14 day cruise. here is why this is important and relevant. 1. The "cruise consultant" was very terse and abrupt. this was the person responsible for booking future cruises. i was so excited about this cruise. *(grand suite, spent more than $50,000 for 14 days ...

We are just about done with the cruise in 2 days...we have done a lot of traveling and while the ship is very nice and food quality it high-the real purpose of the trip was to see the local history, culture etc and by far this trip had the worst excursions we have ever experienced. So I'm not going to focus on the ship or food but on the reason at least we came and that was to see the UK and ...

Very Disappointing Cruise Experience

My spouse and I usually book with Celebrity in their Penthouse Suite. In 2016, our May 2017 Celebrity Equinox Film cruise was cancelled and the Celebrity Equinox was repositioned to the Caribbeans. We wanted a Mediterranean cruise with embarkation and disembarkation in Barcelona because in May 2016, we took the Celebrity Equinox Film cruise in the penthouse suite with a pre-cruise stay at the ...

Clueless restaurant staff and management

Booked this cruise with our travel agent on its inaugural Barcelona to Venice Regent 25th anniversary cruise in April, as we both had birthdays that month. The ship was great, our room was great, the staff was great except for restaurant management. My travel companion is gluten intolerant which was noted when we booked but through the lack of knowledge and incompetence of restaurant management, ...

Poor suite finish and poor customer relations

This was a disappointment made less pleasant by negative customer relations attitude. To put into perspective we are regular Regent cruisers in recent years (having also used Seabourn and Silversea), and indeed have a further cruise booked with Regent in 2017 on Voyager. Overnight in Rome was in a good hotel to which we would return - the Westin Excelsior. Well positioned too. Regent agent ...

Disappointed!

I have always been a Regent fan and was excited about the prospect of a new ship with an interesting itinerary. I am at the gold level and have been on each of the Regent ships. Overall, I was underwhelmed. The ship is physically beautiful and your first response is Wow! However, the wow effect lasts only so long. We were in a Penthouse A. We chose this level because it was supposed to have ...
