Let me start by saying that we loved to cruise with Royal Carribean (7 years already) and did exactly the same trip with the same ship 2 years ago before the refresh of the ship. Over the years we have noticed that the benefits and extra's you get on Royal Carribean are going downwards every year. A few years ago there was a chocolate fontain with strawberries for example which is gone. The ...

Great Ports, Outstanding Service, Not so Great Ship

My girlfriend and I sailed on Serenade of the Seas on a 12 night Mediterranean cruise. We are in our late 40s. This was our first cruise on RCI and 7th overall for each of us. It was our longest cruise and the first time in Europe for me. In a nutshell we loved the ports, the service, but were disappointed in the ship overall. Travel to Barcelona: We flew from non-stop from Miami to Barcelona; an ...

Flew from Atlanta nonstop to Barcelona and stayed 2 days in king suite at Casa Camper which is a unique hotel close to Las Ramblas . Embarkation was very slow because we had one cruiser who needed wheelchair-we waited at least 45 minutes for an attendant. Both of our junior suites were available when we checked in at 1pm but bags didn't arrive until 530 pm. Cabin was great- I quickly Gave my ...

BOARDING Boarded at Barcelona without any problem - arrived at terminal around 12 noon and was aboard in under 15 minutes. DINING Immediately went to see Head Waiter staff in main dining room to confirm our request for a table for 2 at dinner. Despite booking 8 months previously, they had no record of our request and weren't able to find us a table so put us on the wait list. This is now ...

We chose this cruise for the Itinerary, lots of interesting Ports of Call. Embarkation was very smooth and easy. We had opted for an inside cabin as this was a winter cruise and views of ports were not that important. Plus we had not long been back from a 28 day cruise through the Panama Canal on The Vision of the Seas where we had an inside cabin on the first leg then upgraded to a balcony ...

I traveled with a group of 12 friends and family. This was my second time on an RCI ship, the first being a 3 day turn around cruise. Overall, this was my 17th cruise and I consider myself cruise savy. This trip was a 12 day eastern Med cruise with port calls in Barcelona, Cannes, Florence, Rome, Ephesus, Athens, Santorini and Naples. I picked the Serenade because of it's size, not liking the ...
