RC: Serenade of the Seas; Never Again

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

This is the first time that I am writing a review but I feel compelled to do so. We sailed the Caribbean with Carnival Glory in 2010. The Grand Med on the Magic in 2011. Northern Europe and Norway on the Legend in 2013 and now 17th Sept 14 on RC Serenade of the Seas, the Adriatic. We were obviously spoiled by Carnival as our latest cruise did not meet our expectations at all. For the first two ...

We were on our honeymoon and decided to take the 12 day with stops in Salerno, Sicily, malta, Montenegro, Venice, croatia and Corfu. The ports were wonderful. We went in September so we're on one of the "oldest cruises they had ever seen" and it seemed the ship was more geared towards that age demographic so there was not much of interest for our age group (we're in our thirties.) They closed the ...

My First Cruise & Very Disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

I've just come back from a 12 night Royal Carribean Mediterranean cruise and I would never cruise again. For me the whole experience was overpriced, tacky and a rip off. As some of the other reviewer's comments have suggested, I found RC's approach to be totally mercinary - they sought to take extra money from clients at absolutely every opportunity. First, the good points: The ship was a ...

I could go into a lot of detail, but that would be a book.  Bottom line is, their web site is horrible, caused me to lose our stateroom, ended up paying $300 more per person just to go on this cruise. My time dining still requires a reservation, why bother if I still have to make a reservation, not something I want to have to worry about when I am on vacation. Good steak and ...

Say NO to SERENADE OF THE SEAS

This was our 7th Cruise with Royal Caribbean. I have never left a review before as it's just not my thing. First, let me say our previous 6 cruises with RCI have been great. However, I just couldn't let our recent experience on Serenade of the Seas pass without a review. Short and sweet of it..... SERENADE OF THIS SEAS has endless PROBLEMS! We could have overlooked the lack of activities and ...

Serenade of the Seas - Hawaii

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

This is absolutely the worst vacation I have ever had ruined by any cruise line. Here are some highlight of my two week nightmare: 1: Bed was atrocious. A fold up "cot" with a board on it! 2: Television is the same thing over and over..........and over. Movies are $11.95. 3: Food is terrible unless you eat in the "Pay For" dining rooms. 4: Did I mention the bedding is terrible? My back still ...

Embarkation was very efficient. I love this ship and her sisters. Especially the lexan model as you exit the elevator and know instantly where the bow and stern are. Sea days were lovely, except for the consistent pop elevator music which seemed to be omnipresent. Which is ok, except that perhaps the volumne could be turned down and the tunes should be changed daily, otherwise, one begins to ...

Serenade of the Seas - Southern Caribbean

Where do I begin. This was my first cruise and my first trip in 4 years. When we got to the boat I must say getting on was a breeze. Well organized, simple and easy. Once on the boat it became a different story. Let me first begin by saying I was traveling with 7 friends. Our ages range from 25 to 40. So we had three rooms between the seven of us. The first time I walked in our room, there was ...
