I wanted to take my elderly mother on a calm cruise as a cruise was on her bucket list. When I boarded the ship I ask if I could rent a wheelchair for my mother I was declined do to the face I did not make arrangements when I booked the reservation. I didn’t think we would need one 3 mo prior to the trip. I was spoken to TERRiBLE by the security personal. After we boarded the ship an after a 2 ...

We like very much cruise trips and before we enjoyed cruise trips many times. However RoyalCaribean exsperience was our first experience and definitely the LAST. We have chosen this company because our dates fit and also there is an agent in Istanbul which helped us the booking. We never thought this is such a lousy company. First of all, the food is terrible. The quality of the food was worst ...

Horrible ship for families

We have been cruising with Royal Caribbean for 10 years. This was the worst ship for families we have ever experienced. First, no babysitting service. Every cruise we have gone on has had babysitting service. This did not and they are not able to accommodate. We prepaid to eat in the specialty restaurants every night thinking that we'd have sitter service. The kids rooms were old and ...

We take a family cruise (10 of us) each year to get the grandkids together for fun and relationship building. We chose this cruise because the dates aligned with the Presidents Weekend holiday. Very disappointed in the dining room food, casino and bar service. The first two dinners in the dining room were terrible. Meat was tough and tasted terrible. Fish was dried out and not ...

Value cruise that didn't even deliver the basics

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Went for a cruise deal, but everything was less than expected. The food, the service, all around things were the worst I have experienced from Royal Caribbean. Usually the cruise line doesn't disappoint me, but it was a ship not well maintained and with the bare minimum of on board entertainment. Buffet food was perfectly fine, dining room food and service were surprisingly a big let ...

Totally unsuitable for disabled travellers

My partner and I chose this cruise for the length of the cruise and it’s itinerary. I have been registered disabled for over eight years. Royal Caribbean’s Special Services we’re contacted five months prior to departure, and I had completed several forms about my disabilities and the medications I would be carrying; one of which is a class ‘A’ drug. On arrival at Miami Airport we found that ...

Always traveled on Carnival decided to try Royal Caribbean should have stuck with Carnival, fridge door was broken in room, bed set up was incorrect, Had to correct my teenage daughters bill by standing in a long line instead of enjoying my vacation because they didn't link her to my account as I had set up on line and at the check in counter. No variety in the Windjammer cabins are to small ...

We booked this cruise with friends; we had never sailed this direction before, although we had been to most of these cities from other vacations. Reviews - I always try to keep in mind that I know nothing about the person saying "this was awful", "this was wonderful", so I'm not going to offer any opinion, just tell you what happened. It began when my soup was delivered with a fly floating ...

Not many activities while on board

Went with a large group. An item of sentimental value was stolen from our room on the first night. Dresser drawer was broken. In room safe was broken. Had them fix it the first time. Then just hoped the thief didn't steal anything else the last 5 days. On board activities were minimal at best. The food was bland, and service was slow. Never did see my waiter for our first breakfast in the dining ...

We had a good time. The food was delicious and served by a great staff who were very attentive. The ship is well equipped to provide a pleasant trip with plenty of time for activities and relaxation. The tours in Northeast US and Canada are excellent. The best we have encountered. There is a beautiful and warm swimming pool in the Solarium that my wife and I enjoyed especially on cool days. ...
