Beds by the sliding doors with the head of the bed facing starboard.
Plenty of storage for a 10 or more day cruise.
Fridge was empty so no having to have the attendant clean it out.
Veranda door would slide open when the ship was in motion and you could only lock it closed from the inside.
Huge veranda, went from full sun the almost full shade depending on direction and time of day. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was spacious, especially the balcony. We had 2 chairs, 2 tables, and 2 loungers. I love the full curtain that can separate the bed from the TV area. This is an aft cabin, and although it gave a wide view of the sea, I probably wouldn't pick it again for myself. I got a little queasy when the water was rough, and the wake was noisier than I had expected. It got direct sun about half the day. It is a long walk to the elevator, but we didn't mind that, and we enjoyed the privacy at the end of the corridor. Overall, we didn't spend much time on the balcony, but if you like to sit and ponder the water, you might like this location. Read entire member review >>
Easily accessible, larger balcony, Centrum is close and can get noisy during evening productions till 11 PM. Several evenings the Fire Door was closed to limit the noise. Had issues with toilet backing up from clogs elsewhere in the system. Read entire member review >>
Aft cabin was amazing. Loved the larger balcony and spent a considerable amount of time there. Especially during 5 sea days. I would say there is more motion than closer to the center of the ship, but worth it for us. Read entire member review >>
Very clean. With the three seat couch, interior was spacious and balcony was twice the size of one along the side of the ship. Our cabin attendant got us a couple of chaise which permitted us to stretch out and enjoy the balcony fully. Read entire member review >>
Really clean, but quite worn.
Safe - some of the numbers were recessed.
Fridge - panel kept falling off
Couch - could not lean on arms because padding gone
Bathroom cabinet - did not stay closed in rough conditions Read entire member review >>
Great cabin with panoramic views Larger than most balconies. We had two loungers, two chairs, two footstools and a large table. Balcony is partially covered. Great cabin and balcony experience. Read entire member review >>
The balcony cabin was a good size. The bed was relatively comfortable and the TV was large enough BUT the choice of channels was pretty meager to the level of being abysmal. Perhaps the idea is to force you into buying the expensive internet packages and streaming your own entertainment. As usual the closet doors open toward the bathroom door so you have to maneuver around to get stuff out. The bathroom was quite small although the shower was set up like a vertical tanning booth which kept water from splashing on the floor. The shower had good water pressure but was small even for a “medium” sized person like me – almost to the point of claustrophobia. The actual toilet area was small – but adequate. We had no noise or cigarette smoke problems and there was no heavy foot traffic because we were in the furthest aft cabin group. Our room steward Leo was superb. Read entire member review >>
Loved how close our cabin was to the Centrum Totally central for our activities.
Plenty of storage, drawers, shelves and hanging closet room. Very adequate for our needs.
Bed was comfortable, extra pillows were provided as soon as we asked.
Shower was great...plenty of hot water and excellent water force.
Very nice balcony. Read entire member review >>
This corner aft cabin has an extraordinary balcony! The hallway to the cabin from the Centrum is LONG. Longer than I thought it would be, but it ensured no hallway noise, and wasn't an issue for us. Might be for mobility challenged individuals. Read entire member review >>
We like the aft cabins so can see the wake and scenery both port and starboard sides. Plenty of storage for us on our 31-day trip. No noise from above or below, But LONG walks from the elevators which was ok for us. Read entire member review >>
We loved our balcony cabin which was much roomier than what we had on previous ships and the balcony itself was much larger as well. There was plenty of room to prop up your feet. The closet layout with a vertical shelving divider really worked out well for us. The room+reading lights could be controlled from bed so we didn't have to get up to turn off the lights. There were two outlets on the desk. TIP: We enjoyed the use of our 6 port USB charger to charge all of our devices. There was plenty of room under the bed to store our suitcases, so no need for crowding in the closet. Read entire member review >>
7674 is on the starboard side at the stern. Great location. Because it adjoined a suite the balcony was big and had lots of room. The down side of being on the stern is that its a long walk from the stairs / elevator-but hey we can all use the exercise right? The room was well kept and had plenty of storage. Bathroom was kind of small and shower was big enough but we missed the shower arrangement from our JS on our previous cruise. All in all I can't recommend this location highly enough. Good stateroom. The good: Size, balcony, cleanliness, adequate storage, confortable bed and linens, lighting and attendant services.
The not so good: Old blue sofa, or sofa/bed needs replacement. No more stationery, not even a notepad near the phone or pen. Minimal and very basic toilet amenities. TV channel 17 (ship and route info) time not updated with ship's time. Read entire member review >>
Excellent 'hump cabin' at mid-ship which faced more forward than aft. Just a few steps to the Centrum elevators and stairs, so very easy access to all areas of the ship. Just two decks up to the Windjammer and pool areas, just 3-4 decks from the entertainment and dining venues. We rarely used the elevators as a result of this location.
Many talk about the noise from the Centrum in the evenings being an issue for any of these 'hump cabins'. We did not find it to be an issue at all in part because we were usually out and about the ship until after 11pm, but even if we returned earlier while the musicians were still playing, they close the fire doors on all decks at the hallways off the Centrum and it really does cut the noise way down. Unless you are the lightest of sleepers I don't see the sound being an issue to prevent choosing this stateroom.
Balcony was fabulous...well-protected from excessive sun and (if it had rained...but it didn't) light rains. Three regular chairs plus a table were present; our stateroom host brought a lounger at my request.
Plenty of storage for two, lots of hangars in the closet.
Bathroom was clean and in good repair; not a fan of the tiny showers but at least we had the sliding doors and not a curtain. Read entire member review >>
Nice cabin couch is worn out no stuffing very uncomfortable to sit the chair at vanity no stuffing like sitting in a hole the bed was great we go the egg crate added and I asked for 6 extra pillows since I needed to sit up to sleep and they are very slender . Everything else was very nice . Smallest balcony we have ever had and our friends room was 9650 had what they call limited obstruction but it was only a small ladder that slides for window cleaning and really doesn't block anything Read entire member review >>
Large aft balcony. Had a 3 cushion sofa, lots of storage drawers and shelves. Very quiet with no hallway noise. While on the balcony could occasionally hear noise from dishes/silverware from the outside Windjammer sitting area but this was rare. No engine noise or vibration felt. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was excellent. no overhead, or any other noise. Might advise if you choose a cabin near the atrium, be prepared for loud music each night until 1045 to 1115pm. They had so many complaints, they shut the fire door each night, but as you walked down hallway you could hear it and fell vibrations for first four or five cabins./ We were on deck nine and in rear had no problem at all. We had a balcony cabin on the 9th deck. It seemed small compared to other Royal Caribbean ships we sailed on. There was ample space for our clothing, however. The location was near the forward elevators which was very convenient. The room was clean and fresh. But the balcony was a mess. Paint was chipped; there was noticeable rust, and it was not clean. While our cabin was cleaned daily, the balcony was never attended to. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was the standard type balcony cabin as most ships have. Nothing terrible, but nothing outstanding. The bed was comfortable, the shower was a decent size, the balcony, maybe a bit smaller than some others but OK, and the furnishings in the cabin were nice. Read entire member review >>
The ship itself was very nice, I guess updates had been done fairly recent. We were in room 9572.Great location, center of the boat, near stairs and elevators, never an issues with noises. Even when they have music in the Centrum, they close a door, it shuts out the noise and all is quiet. Nice, clean, balcony, overall plenty of room. You vary seldom saw your room attendant. You go and enjoy a relaxing breakfast, come back and usually your room was clean. Go have dinner and your bed is ready for the night. We ordered room service for breakfast on an early excursion. It was good, but very small portions. My suggestion would be to order more than one for an individual. Read entire member review >>
A very clean room, very quiet. Kind of a long walk from the elevators, but this long hallway muffled out the noise from constant parties occurring in the Centrum. In addition, being two floors below the Deck 11 pool and eatery, Deck 10 served as a buffer to reduce noise. Read entire member review >>
I read that the ship had recently undergone a refit, if that is so then they must have missed the cabin we were in as the draw fronts were falling off, the mirror in the bathroom was peeling and the cabinets had screws bursting through the sides. There was a distinct smell from the drains in there and every so often the water refused to go down in the sink. The shower was one of the smallest I have ever seen and I was glad that I never dropped the soap as I would have had to open the door to give enough room to bend to pick it up. The balcony looked like it had been missed in any upgrade and the chairs (3) were all odd ones, with one falling apart with paint flaking off it. We had been in the cabin for 5 minutes when the attendant came to introduce himself and to ask if there was anything missing, when I asked how would I know he smiled and left. On the good side there were plenty of hangers. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was perfect - location was center of ship, close enough to the elevators and main atrium, balcony view was great. We were on the side of the ship that passed by St. Mark's Square in Venice. Decks were packed with people. We were able to stand on our balcony and get the best photo shots! Cabin perfect for two people. It was sound proof! Read entire member review >>
Very quiet. You have great views from the balcony side to side. Close to the center of the ship. This cabin also has a sofa that can sleep one person. Plenty of closet space. Read entire member review >>
Quiet, excellent location, small space but quite adequate. You can store empty suitcases under the bed. Balcony is nice but might benefit from chairs that are more comfortable. Read entire member review >>
Cabin in the middle of the hump (9586). Great location, quiet, great views. Room was very spacious, balcony was big. Alot of storage space, downfall, the bathroom was small and shower was tight. Read entire member review >>
Great location. Adequate cabin for four. Balcony made the room feel larger and provided great views. Bathroom facilities are fair. Beds were quite comfy. Rarely heard our neighbors. Read entire member review >>
Space is adequate on a superior stateroom balcony, unless you are traveling with all your wardrobe. The balcony is tiny and has chairs, nor lounge chairs, and a table that is too small to eat dinner on it (if that was your plan), but it is quite pleasant. The TV is small but functional. The bathroom is fine, except for the shower shelves which are poorly designed. Water pressure was always more than adequate. Towels were plentiful and fluffy. Everything was spotless clean. I wish I could say I am as good as Jorge at housekeeping! Read entire member review >>
1068 - Great location on deck 10. The room was average with a large deck, views perfect, no noise from deck 11 at all and the deck was a very nice size. I would pick this cabin every time I sailed on the serenade! Read entire member review >>
Cabin 9076: nice, big balcony with partial view into neighboring balcony. Cabin on hump, just off Centrum - excellent, convenient location close to elevators. No noise problems unless you're very sensitive to music coming from the Centrum. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was in the back of the ship next to the Royal Family Suite. We had plenty of room, loved the large balcony. Tiny shower and bathroom had a faint unpleasant odor. The balcony is the draw here 2 large loungers and 2 reg. chairs. Long walk to elevator but this helped us work off our food. Would choose this cabin again. Read entire member review >>
We were in a D1 just aft of the Centrum elevators. Good closet and drawerspace for two people. Ample room in the cabin and balcony was adequate size. Liked the shower sliding doors instead of a curtain. Read entire member review >>
Great cabin on deck seven aft, right in the middle. Decent size with lots of storage space for 2 people. Wonderful spot for Alaska because you can see everything from the back and especially in Tracy Arm there is no wind so even though it is cold at the the top its nice on the balcony and you can order some nosh from room service and enjoy hot chocolate right on the balcony viewing the glacier. Just above Safari Lounge but only noisy one day during karaoke for about 30 mins around 5pm. No engine noise but there is vibration from the engines when the ship is at top speed (which only happens on the first and last day). No hallway noise and dead quiet but quite a walk to the elevators/stairs which are mid-ship. There is a crew space where they collect and wash dishes right across the hall but I never heard them. Quiet location and convenient to other areas of the ship. Balcony view slightly obstructed by the humps and curves of the side of the ship. Closet and drawer space was sufficient for the 3 of us. Bathroom is small, with very little counter top area. Pullman bed could have a more comfortable mattress pad. Wish they wouldn't stock the fridge with all the over-priced sodas, water, candy ... we like to take milk, cereal, yogurt back to our room and thaving at least half of the fridge space available would be nice. Cabin can accomodate up to 4 passengers, but only 2 chairs provided on the deck. Read entire member review >>
We had a D1 rate balcony cabin. Having sailed before we knew what to expect. However, if your expecting to see a room like a regular hotel, then expect to be disappointed in this class. Of course, the higher the class you reserve, the more space you have, but at a higher cost of course. But then again, your not on the cruise to sit in your room. Read entire member review >>
cabin was D1 catagory on the Radiance class ship Serenade. room was larger then on Adventure, Freedom, Mariner ships D1. there was also much more closet and storage space for toiletries, etc. Read entire member review >>
Quite enough space for two people. Closet was small, hangers almost had to hang a bit sideways in order for the doors to close. Comfortable bed and sofa. Average size deck(probably 10'x4') Read entire member review >>
Cabin 1604 is a stern cabin on deck. It has a great view and the larger balcony as expected on an aft cabin. It is directly below the Windjammer's outside dining area so you can and do hear chairs being moved around at times. Out on the balcony you can hear any activity from above with little effort. On the bright side, all of the WJ activity is normally completed by 10pm and there's no noise after that. Read entire member review >>
1068 cabin on the Serenade of the Seas is midship on the 10th floor. It was wonderful for convenience to the elevators and stariwells. We both felt that the mattresses are getting worn down and not as comfortable as they should be. Also, they need to put more pillows in the closet for people who need an additional pillow for their beds. Read entire member review >>
Cabin #9584. Great room. Bigger than we thought it would be. Plenty of closet space. And amazingly quiet. I never sleep in hotel, due to noise and never heard anything any of the nights. I don't know how the keep everything so sound proof!! Great balcony location. Read entire member review >>
