To start with, I tried to find Minneapolis or Red Wing as the embarkation port but was unable to find it in the drop down and it wouldn't let me enter either cities.
1. We only got travel documents after our travel agent called them days before the cruise. I guess this should have been an omen.
2. The cabin had a large patio but was mostly usuable due to their being no shade from noon to ...

Hi Welikecruzng! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are disappointed to hear about the missed stops, internet situation, among other things you mentioned. We will pass the...
We had originally booked this cruise pre Covid (2019) with our American friends. Although we are Australians this was to be our sixth boat cruise which was deferred until Australian's travel restrictions were lifted. As can be assumed we had very high expectations that we would enjoy the cruise, as we had previously done on the American Queen. Sadly, this was not to be. I've purposely left writing ...

Thank you for leaving a review. We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy the breakfast and pre-cruise tour. We are also sorry to hear that the medical screening process and water...
For our first trip into unknown territory after Covid, we decided on a smaller river ship down the St. Lawrence Seaway. The PearlMist was the perfect size, about 100 rooms--every one of them with a balcony--and laid-back. We're not into a Las Vegas sized and style cruise. We much prefer a passenger experience that was manageable and comfortable. Pearl Mist provided it.
The good things about ...
The cruise ship was in for routine maintenance and we were informed the day of embarkation that there was a strike in North Vancouver and the ship would be delayed until 1 PM. They then told us 4:PM. At 4 were told we could go to the terminal to check in, and proceeded to wait until 6:30 PM to check in. Once we arrived on the ship we were told it would not leave until 1:00 AM the next day. On the ...
This was our second river cruise on American Cruise lines, but we had sailed many times before on large cruise ships to the Caribbean and Alaska. None of those ocean cruises could be considered even a close second to this last cruise on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. This ship has a capacity of 150 passengers; so much nicer than dealing with thousands of passengers. Disembarking and returning ...
I have always wanted to cruise on the US rivers, and I also wanted to experience the largest riverboat, as well as steam-powered, so the American Queen was my obvious choice. Eventually, I hope to cover all the US rivers that offer overnight cruises.
We flew in to St. Louis, and were lodged at the Hilton at the Ballpark, where we checked in, and completed a Covid test.
We toured St. Louis ...

Hi bob brown! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip on American Queen! We will pass your feedback along to our crew....
This was our second cruise on the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington with ACL. The views and locks are spectacular and the pace is very relaxing. Each town visited has an interesting history and quaint personality.
American Cruise Lines provides a fantastically safe environment for aging guests or for those travelling alone. The small ships ensure that you'll be able to meet and ...
We have visited Seattle and Vancouver, and have been told that the San Juan Islands are perfection in green and blue, plus we have cruised with American Cruise Lines (ACL) before and wanted to do so again. So we did, and were delighted with the Cruise! This is a case where the Cruise Line, the ship, and the ports are perfectly marched. The ship held 90 compatible passengers, most ports were ...
Though I listed Boston as the embarkation point, it was actually supposed to be Providence, a location not listed on this survey. This was the advertised as a New England trip from Providence to Providence, but the point of embarkation and disembarkation was actually Fall River—a forty minute bus ride from the Providence meeting spot, which caused a lot of inconvenience for some travelers, who were ...
America West is one of the last authentic paddlewheel ships you can experience. We sailed on this cute little piece of nostalgia in July 2022. She had apparently just undergone a beautiful renovation of her interior. Now she has the same bright and modern decor as ACL's newer ships. The Columbia/Snake River is a beautiful itinerary and the Lewis & Clark themed cruise was a piece of history ...
