Worst cruise ever
"After 11 trips with Vantage (plus some with other lines) , all of which were great, we finally met the worst cruise ever. The elevator was broken and not fixed for the entire trip. Many travelers were using canes..."Read More

Ship was full of glitz, computerised booking for dining, shows etc. Over-run by unaccompanied kids right up to midnight. No timeslots for the pool for kids. Windjammer, excellent as always, but over-full. Crew unable to speak much English, little interaction with guests.most crew recruited from different areas to other cruises I have been on, and again, not able to answer queries due to little ...

11.15am - Joined a queue to get on which was over 100 yards long. "Computer glitch sir". 11.55am - got on board. Tried to log on to my pre-paid unlimited internet package with my iPhone. Error! "Computer glitch sir, try later. 12.45pm queued for 25 mins at Customer Service to get internet sorted. "Seems to be on iPhones sir, try turning your phone off and back on". Did so - Error! "Try again later ...

QUEEN MARY 2 - SURPRISINGLY POOR

Although only a mini cruise - 4 nights - we assumed it would be a fair reflection of a longer cruise. So given our experiences that longer cruise will never happen, Boarding was easy and our balcony cabin was very good. However the following list illustrates where we felt let down compared to the (many) other cruise lines we have sailed with: - The ship's decore is very conservative - lacking in ...

Not 5 Star, not modern, not luxurious.

This was an 11 night immersive wine cruise departing from Harwich, U.K. This was our first Celebrity experience and one which we would not like to repeat. The pre-cruise dealing on Celebrity Cruises website was awful with many of the website menus hidden or difficult to access. We booked a Concierge class balcony room on deck 8 with the Celebrity Select dining option. On embarking we were told ...

First Time Cruiser

Age 70s

Right from the start this inaugural river cruise was beset with problems. From the second day we had the Norovirus which wiped out a lot of on-board activities and amenities including any self-service restaurant meals and closed all the public toilets, so there was a lot of toing and froing back to the cabin. Our cabin was on the No. 2 deck and was just on the water-line along with the cabins of ...

10+ Cruises

We just returned from our 3rd Tauck trip and in the past we could never say a bad word about them - this trip sure changed that. The Tauck land portion was up to their usual standards, but unfortunately the Swiss Emerald was certainly not. The staff was very uncaring, and not at all what we expected. Our room wasn't cleaned several times during the cruise and when we complained the response was, ...

6-10 Cruises

Age 50s

Having only cruised before on very small ships (e.g. Wind Star, Seabourn) we decided to test the waters of a large ship by taking a short cruise up and down the English Channel. We chose the Cunard Queen Mary 2 as it was being billed as the most luxurious ship on the seas, the height of luxury and elegance, make-you-feel-special atmosphere etc. What a disappointment it proved to be - on several ...

Tauck Family river cruise on the Seine- Beware!

We eagerly awaited our Tauck family trip as we had an extremely positive experience in the past. This was anything but positive- the boat was not able too maintain comfortable temperatures in the heat we experienced, the food was bland and even inedible at times- we ended up eating plain pasta and cucumbers off the kids salad bar, the nightly entertainment was nonexistent and disappointing. The ...
