Review for Carnival Sunshine to Bahamas

The only reason I took this trip was because I was offered the opportunity to travel with a very old friend and an extended group of her mother's friends. I flew to Charleston from Chicago and had a one-night precruise at the very nice Hotel Bennett (arranged independently). I Ubered to the port at 12 for our 12:30 check-in time (coordinated against those arriving by car from NC). The ...

Cigarette smoke odor

Review for Norwegian Breakaway to Caribbean - Western

User Avatar

The casino (deck 7) with smoking allowed is open to the main public areas of decks 6 and 8. Cigarette smoke was a major problem for my wife (only distasteful for me) and she could not go anywhere on decks 7 and 8 between the forward and aft elevators. Deck 6 was not quite as bad as the odor from deck 7 mainly spread up and not down. I was able to explore on my own at varying times and the odor of ...

The biggest waste of money

Review for Carnival Breeze to Caribbean - Western

Our family decided to take a cruise together. I personally travel for a living. This is absolutely worst experience I have ever had on a trip. The bed in my cabin had trash from previous guests underneath it. My fridge didn’t work and the T.V. would stop working every evening while I was in the winding down from the day. The food was horrible. I added cash to my account at a kiosk. When I went to ...

Would be a solid 5 if Princess could get creative with their entertainment

Review for Caribbean Princess to Caribbean - Eastern

This was our 5 Princess cruise (3 around 2015 and 1 this past April on the Majestic). This cruise ended up being covered with all the COVID credits we received. As with the cruise in April the entertainment is just lack luster, boring and with little creativity. Don't get me wrong, the performers themselves are quite talented but when you have a ventriloquist 2 nights (out of a 5 night cruise) ...

I’d give 0 stars if I could

Review for Norwegian Sky to Bahamas

User Avatar

We chose this cruise because people spoke highly of the line that had cruised PRE-pandemic. The food was cold and not edible most of the times. The advertised free at sea was a scam with most of the dining reservations filling up before having a chance to book. It only included 75 free minutes of Wi-Fi. The staff seemed sad and poorly treated by management. They weren’t even allowed to accept ...

Just back from 10 day cruise on Equinox

Review for Celebrity Equinox to Caribbean - Southern

We’ve been on the Equinox previously and it still is a wonderful ship. We did the specialty dining 3 of the 10 nights, Murano as always lived up to our expectations especially with Nikola as our waiter. Tuscan, no wine service till after our meal was finished, yet table on either side received service immediately, baseball cap on one of the diners. We saw no need to go back. Anytime dining, ...

Too many short cuts

Review for Carnival Freedom to Caribbean - Eastern

We have cruised with Carnival and Royal Caribbean for the last 18 cruises. We love cruising and consider it to be the best way to take a vacation and have a great time: however, that being said we will try to relay the happenings of what we called the worst cruise we have ever been on. Embarkation was a slow and confusing ordeal; it took the check in Person a good 10 minutes to finally get our ...

Don’t waste money on priority

Review for Norwegian Dawn to Caribbean - Western

User Avatar

Experience on the ship was ok. Getting on and off was a complete nightmare. We had a suite on the ship which had priority benefits. Priority was non existent. We traveled with friends that did not have priority and they got on and off the ship way faster than us. Going on the ship we ended up in a room with other priority people, we sat there just to be ignored for about forty five minutes. We ...

Major disappointment and wasted thousands of dollars

Review for Norwegian Breakaway to Caribbean - Western

User Avatar

First, the New Orleans cruise terminal was a nightmare. We followed online directions only to discover that the main entrance was closed and we had to re-route through awful traffic in downtown New Orleans. Once there, people were told that they couldn't check their luggage curbside and had to go through security with all their large bags and sit with them in the terminal waiting room. ...
