Beautiful Experience/Pleasant Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We have sailed on Princess before (Emerald Princess) and we were frankly disappointed, so I was reluctant to book another cruise on Princess; however the price was right, so I decided to try them again. I still don't think that there is anything to distinguish Princess from the competition. It's kind of a ho hum cruise line in my opinion. For my money, I think Celebrity and Royal Caribbean offer a ...

Cruise to Alaska 9/11-9/18 We are from the Pacific Northwest and thought it would be fun to see Alaska. Alaska is lovely, looks pretty much like our home but the mountains start right at the water. The Sapphire Princess is still a nice ship, even after seven years of service. She is on her way to dry-dock soon, according to the staff. However, the carpets were clean and there was not ...

We finally tried Princess. Overall we were pleased with the line. We are not first-time cruisers but have only been on two previous, each on a different line, RCL & NCL. Both my wife and I loved the service on Princess. In particular there were three employees who really get our appreciation: Bernie, Carlito & Paoula. Bernie was responsible for the Adult Pop Choir which we ...

Alaska is lovely, looks pretty much like our home but the mountains start right at the water. Sapphire princess is still a nice ship. She is on her way to refabed soon. Party All Night or Just Chill

Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Sapphire Princess

We had taken a flight into Seattle that arrived around 11 AM, and took the light rail to the Westlake Center - easy, and about 30 minutes. It is a longish walk from the baggage carousels but level, and well sign posted. We left our suitcases at the Mayflower Park Hotel (with some discussion - we had e-mailed but they couldn't find it) since we were staying there on the return from Vancouver ...

Hello, This is our 9th cruise and our first with Princess. If our next cruise with Princess is as good as the last one we just took, WE HAVE A NEW CRUISING HOME. The ship was awesome. Yes it was a little dated but clean and sharp looking. First off let me say that the crew is what made this cruise. I could not tell you who the other people on the other cruise ships were but on this ...

One night Seattle to Vancouver cruise on Sapphire Princess

We took this cruise as a quick weekend getaway to, well, get away from the teenagers. We took the Amtrak Cascades train down to Seattle from Vancouver the evening before which I found to be a very enjoyable way to get down there. We left at 545 pm and arrived in Seattle right around 10 pm. We had a Doubletree hotel room booked through Priceline near the airport for a very good price so all in all ...

I booked a minisuite guarantee for the cruise. On Friday evening before the cruise on Sunday I got a call from Princess that they had oversold the minisuites and that they wanted us to take a handicapped balcony room instead. The minisuites were 325 sq ft and the handicapped room was about 100 sq ft larger. She said it was a very nice room. They gave us $1499 to change rooms. When we arrived in ...

Took my wife on a cruise for our 10th anniversary. We are more on the quiet side so we chose Princess. Overall this was an excellent cruise with great entertainment and great food and service from the staff. There was always something to do and most of the time had to try plan out our days so we could get the most in. Had Kelvin Joy as cruise director and he was GREAT! In fact the whole ...

Fabulous One Nighter in a Suite

We have always enjoyed cruising with Princess and this last little mini-cruise really topped the list. We decided that to get even closer to reaching the Elite level, we would take this cruise. We booked 2 insides and we were very luckily upgraded to Caribe 752, an aft penthouse category. We were astonished at the size of the suite of course but to be able to stand on the balcony and to see the ...
