Food was good on most nights. Princess needs more comedy shows. The room was kept clean twice a day. All the employees were super friendly. Internet was slow. Book your shore excursions in advance. A lot were sold out but at most stops you could book something once you got off the ship. We had a lot of fun. The worst thing on the ship was the casino, very tight slots. Getting on the ship was a ...

I was really getting about this Pacific Northwest cruise after reading so many negative reviews on this site, but I am happy to say that we had a nice time. I should say we are in our 50s, and this was our 8th cruise, with our last being 3 years ago on NCL. We were on the last itinerary before this ship went into dry dock, so it can only be better now. My ooinion on a few things. * ...

Mainly, just wanted to do a cruise. Selected this one because It had places I had never been. Everything went well, easy getting on the ship, and especially loved the Valet embarkation. Have never had such fast and easy way of getting off the ship. I would take this option anytime it is offered to me. It is a very nice ship, and was glad to hear it was being updated when we finished ...

A Nice Cruise Down The Northern California Coast

Had been on the Ruby last year to Alaska and booked this cruise while on board then. We wanted a simple cruise that went out of Seattle so we wouldn't have to fly. It was a nice cruise , we were a little worried as the ship was going into dry dock the week after, so there was a concern about activity while we were cruising, but we noticed very little other than a litlle painting and they were ...

Fun time all around

We cruise a lot so feel we can make reasonable comparisons. We really ENJOYED this cruise. This was a fun cruise for us. We are 71 and 72, so not youngsters, and often enjoy "peaceful" cruises to educational places....unique ports in Alaska most recently. These types of cruises are indeed worthwhile, but for just having FUN, this cruise was it. Check-in was easy although we surprised that ...

This was our 22nd cruise, and one of the best

Princess continues to be our #1 or #2 out of six cruise lines. In no particular order, here’s why: 1. FOOD: (Thanks for Dairy-free and Gluten-free substitutes! ) DA VINCE DINING ROOM: I’ve never had so much delicious seafood available at every meal. The variety was terrific. Having salmon as a ‘standard’ in the Da Vinci dining room was a plus. Also, it was extraordinary to find that Princess ...

Chose this cruise because our nominee for Entertainer of the Year Lou Gazzara was a featured entertainer. Lou is the best vocalist we have ever heard on a Princess Ship. Had heard him on the Ruby earlier in the year. Came on board as "super fans" Have already booked our next "Lou Cruise" on April 20 aboard the Royal Princess. This particular cruise is also a great itinerary. Astoria ...

Pacific Coastal Cruise - Roundtrip Seattle

Very enjoyable experience with super efficient boarding and disembarkation process (both Princess and Customs). Our only complaint is that while the ship is non-smoking, there are designated smoking areas such as one corner of the promenade deck that interfered with our enjoyment of walking laps consistently in fresh air, and some areas of upper decks that remained closed for the duration of the ...

My friend & I decided to celebrate our Birthday’s this year by taking a cruise & we both really wanted to see Alaska so the Inside passage seemed to be the one to choose. Our boarding of the cruise ship went very smoothly & the weather was great. We attended many of the on board activities including movies under the stars. Our trip planner set up a birthday dinner at Curtis Stones restaurant ...

Decent but not great

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Ruby Princess

It's a very large ship with a lot of people to serve. Don't expect personal service or much attention from the crew. Food is decent but with the best reserved for the $30pp specialty restaurants. Activities are the usual uninteresting mix. Best part of the ship "The Sanctuary" is reserved for extra paying guests. Don't bother. Stage shows are exactly what you've seen on every cruise you have been ...
