I had not done an Alaskan Cruise, so I chose it for my mom and me. My family and I have done lots of cruises. We go cruising at least twice a year, usually 7 days cruises. We have gone on over a dozen cruises. We just got back from cruising with the Norwegian Pearl last Sunday, and we are not to happy with it. My mom stated that she was on a paid floating prison. The captain and cruise ...
I went with my mother, son and family friend on this cruise to alaska. We booked a mini suite. Compared to princess this suite was mini. Once the couch was made into a bed there was no walking room. The room was very small. Our room steward did a wonderful job keeping the room clean. It was the only clean place on this ship. The rest rooms and dinning rooms were dirty. Gross dirty. Summer place ...
This had to be the worst cruise I have taken. Reserved a Suite for myself, my daughter with grandson and teenage friend. Guaranteed 4 separate sleeping spaces -their guarantee is worthless. the main customer service supervisor would not even come out to speak with us regarding the room instead sent clerk who basically said "so sad too bad" when we did come in contact with this supervisor later ...
What should have been a celebratory and once in a lifetime Alaska vacation turned into a nightmare and medical emergency on the second day of our cruise. On day 2 at 12:00 in the afternoon, my husband and I were browsing in the large gift shop Tradewinds and I suffered a horrific accident. The staff had opened a large glass display cabinet door and I was standing in front of it with my back turned ...
Norwegian Pearl is the worst cruise ship ever. We sailed on the Epic May 2016 and had a great cruise so picked another Norwegian ship. Big Mistake, the Pearl Staff May 2017 was awful, guest services was appalling, food average for buffet but poor for seated dining, entertainment average, check in was a total nightmare, basically no one knew what was going on and the management did not care. ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to see Alaska, had sailed on NCL previously and was when I was able to use my vacation time.
Both the embarkations and disembarkation went smoothly and quickly.
The service we received from ALL the staff was outstanding!
We visited four specialty restaurants, our favorite was Cagney's.
.My filet was delicious, It was tender and moist,I could cut ...

From my 1st cruise in 2005 until 2010, I only cruised on Norwegian. After being on the horrible Norwegian ship, The Spirit, I swore I would never cruise with NCL again, and Princess has been my cruise line of choice since then. However, my mom and I had sailed on the Norwegian Pearl to Alaska in 2009, and it was fantastic. My husband had never cruised and I convinced him he would love a cruise to ...
All they try to do is get as much money out of you as possible. Ship is in bad shape. Food is bad, Ok if you go to one of the extra charge restaurants. Service was at a minimum. I would never go on another NCL cruise. Entertainment was ok but the seats are so beat up couldn't get comfortable. The cabin was what I expected but there were so many things that needed repair and better cleaning. I feel ...
I hated it. The best thing about the cruise was the food. There was always a wait on the elevators. The bars were always too crowded. Most of the time the bartenders were very rude. I thought the nightly shows were silly. Every time you turned around they were selling you something. Never again. it was almost impossible to find anyone who worked for NCL that spoke English. I also found ...
