We enjoyed Alaska and none of the shore excursions disappointed. We saw lots of whales, the mendenhal glacier, took the white pass train ride, panned for gold, toured a dredge, enjoyed glacier bay ( except for the park ranger who droned on and on ) saw the lumberjack show and totem pole park, Butchart gardens was incredible. We had heard great things about Norwegian; however, unfortunately ended up a bit disappointed. Entertainment was just okay. Food was just okay and the same menu was served over and over again.

We were expecting more from Norwegian. They apparently are saving money by cutting food costs. And entertainment was second rate. Good folks, but not up to par compared with competitors.
The magician did close-up but no stage magic. Disappointed.

I had friends going on this cruise so my husband and I joined them, and it was fun sharing the experience with them. The location (Alaska) was wonderful and the base price was relatively inexpensive. We chose Norwegian because a friend recommended NCL. Excursions, staff, and food were excellent. However, I would certainly NOT recommend selecting a cabin beneath the Splash Academy because of noise lasting until almost midnight every night of the cruise.
