First off we had a penthouse i bedroom rear facing suite on the 10th floor that had a very large deck with two chairs and two loungers with thick and comfortable pads. We chose this cruise because we have always wanted to go through the Panama Canal. Going through the Panama Canal was the highlight of the trip and the only part of the cruise that I would recommend anybody doing. The stop in Costa Rica was absolutely awful. New destinations were the best part, through the panama and all the stops. The ship was very smooth. Most of the outside entertainment was superb.
The food was so bad, and the deserts looked wonderful, and most often tasted like rubber. Even the chocolate was altered, (maybe brown food dye?)
Every meat entree was too tough to chew. The spinach pie was paper and no cheese, ?

We thoroughly enjoyed the 18 day Panama Canal full transit cruise aboard the Norwegian Sun! The cruise ports with sea days interspersed allowed for a nice combination of relaxation and activities.
The ship just came out of dry dock and it looked beautiful. All the public rooms including the Spinnaker lounge on the top deck were lovely.
