Awesome

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

I chose this specific cruise for the length and because of the smaller sized ship. It was walkable, and it had a more relaxed vibe than a lot of the bigger ships. The cruise could not have gone better, except for that we didn’t miss one port due to storms in the area. The staff, room, stewards, and entertainment was excellent. The food was good too. I did not but I was well fed. What I liked about ...

Itinerary sucked

The time at the different ports kept changing. With the final itinerary we had 12 hours in icy straights which has nothing but the zip line and a museum that took 15 minutes to get through, but Juneau, Ketchikan, and Victoria was only hours which had lots to do. Plus Victoria time at Port was 8pm to midnight so you could not really see the sites. Sitka and Skagway were at least more than a couple ...

Amazing September Alaska Cruise

Researched many cruise lines, and decided on NCL because of the itinerary, length of cruise, ship population, and price. We were not disappointed. We choose the first week of September as we thought weather would be decent (it was perfect), hoping to catch a glimpse of Northern Lights (we did not) and felt it would be more folks are age (mid 60's)due to the beginning of the school year (it was ...

Glaciers are not great. Victoria docking is too late in the night @8:00pm

the itinerary of this trip sounded great but the day at Endicott Arm & Dawes glacier was really disappointed. We saw no glacier at all. And the day to Victoria is a pointless. The ship was docked at 8:00pm in the evening. Guests are allowed to get out at 8:15pm and come back to the ship at 11:30pm !! What can we see at that late and dark? the ship was refurbished in 2020. It looks nice ...

Great crew, nice ship, but...

We are Platinum Latitude members. That means we have done a lot of NCL cruises. This is our second time on the Spirit, and fourth Alaska cruise overall. What can I say, we love the beauty of Alaska. The Spirit was refitted during COVID, but it's still an older ship with smaller cabins. We do like the uncrowded feel of cruising on a smaller ship. Alas, most cruise lines seem to be going ...

Very nice cruise, just be prepared for less glitz or sun than you may be used to or expecting.

This was actually our second cruise on the Spirit. The first was in 2015 on the Mediterranean route. The ship was refurbished in 2020 according to the video screens in the elevators and it is noticeable throughout the ship. It was looking very dated when we were on before and has been nicely updated throughout. This was an Alaskan Inside Passage cruise in late August/ early September, so we ...

We were on a 9 day Alaskan cruise out of Seattle. Ports were Sitka, Icy Straight Point, Glacier sail day, Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. The ship was just refurbished from top to bottom. One of our favorite things among the 3 couples we were traveling with were the beds. Very comfortable. We also loved the H2O adult pool area, although there weren’t many kids on our cruise, this area had great ...

Our travel agent got us this cruise. It was our first cruise. I think somethings could change. Like you should be able to buy chips somewhere on the ship. Plus I think there should be more variety of food at the buffet. Also, I feel the cleaning crew should not have to clean the rooms twice. I feel they deserve a night off and be able to enjoy some of the ports we stop at. The service was great. ...

Disappointing Overall with Some High Points

We are experienced NCL cruisers, having been on many of the ships over the years, including both Bliss and Epic during their inaugural seasons. This cruise was a disappointing experience, and based on it, I am not sure I will continue to be an NCL patron. I was a gold Latitudes member before this cruise and made platinum level with the points earned on it, so I have some experience with the NCL ...

Small ship, great cruise

This was our third Alaska cruise and we chose it because of Sitka and Icy Strait Point being new ports to us. We were also to see Endicott Arm but the glacier had deposited too much ice so we could not cruise up very far. The amenities on the ship made up for the smaller cabin. We spent a lot of time in the Spinnaker lounge observation area and even some on deck. Weather was amazing for Alaska! ...
