On ( May 21 st) we traveled on Norwegian Cruise lines ( the Jewel) on an Alaska tour. The scenery of the enviroment throughout the tour was simply breathtaking. The food on the ship at the main dining room was what, we considered to be average or rather more like cafeteria style fast food, nothing to really rave about quality wise.

We chose this cruise for a couple of reasons: our two oldest children, who accompanied us, had requested Alaska, and my parents wanted a return trip to Alaska for their 55th wedding anniversary. We selected this cruise because it had some less common stops - Sitka, Victoria, and Hoonah. The stops were all amazing, and I was especially impressed with Sitka and Hoonah (Icy Point). The weather was pretty cold, not unexpected for Alaska in May, so not much time was spent on deck.

Repositioning of the ship allowed us to have a variety of stops in different countries.

The 10 day Alaskan Cruise was beyond my expectations. I've been on other cruise lines and enjoyed them but Norwegian out did them all with great attendants. We saw the restaurant and buffet crew assisting people with food and drinks. The ratio of clients to crew was a little more than 2 to 1.
