Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

Amazing Alaska by cruise ship

As my first cruise experience, this was amazing. To cruise in a location with stunning scenery, amazing wildlife and great people was a lifetime highlight. The cruise was a round trip from Seattle, stopping at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria (British Columbia) and as I booked from the UK was based on an All Inclusive booking (bottled water, drinks, and gratuities were included) and I ...

On the 6th of September I was playing online and noticed how cheap the cruise prices were, so we booked and left Seattle on the 16th. This was our second cruise and first on Norwegian and to Alaska. We were on the ship less than half an hour after arrival and disembarkation was even quicker. We decided to spend our money on our cabin rather than booze or excursions so we got a balcony near ...

Hold the buffet food please

The ship, stateroom, and staff were great. The entertainment was Las Vegas quality. Our only real complaint was the very low quality of the food at the buffet (main dining hall). It was a seven day cruise and there was no real variety. What was even worse was that the food itself was unappetizing. My wife and I ended up eating our dinners at the high-end speciality restaurants which served ...

We choose this cruise after our travel agent mentioned that Titan do a tour of Canada, ride on the Rocky Mountaineer for 3 days as well as various excursions included and to top it off a 7 day Cruise on the Norwegian Jewel up the inside passage in Alaska just magical. Day 1 We flew to Calagry on the 3rd September arriving midafternoon then on to Banff for 2 nights. Day 2 Lake Louise ...

Horrible food...Alaska was awesome

NCL has the poorest food quality I have seen. I think a school cafeteria has way better food. Finding the parking and the dock in Seattle is a nightmare. Park somewhere and take an Uber or Lyft to the dock. The cabin was very functional and the shower was surprisingly good. Decent size balcony and the bed was comfortable. Our cabin steward knew us by name on the first meeting and was top ...

I had been on a previous Alaskan cruise with another cruise line and swore I would never cruise again. After finding a good deal online I decided to give cruising another try. I really enjoyed just about everything about my experience on the Jewel. I highly recommend the specialty dining, Teppanyaki was one of the highlights of our trip. We only ended up eating in the main dining room one ...

I actually did not know what cruise line to choose since I never have been on a cruise. While I was looking at some options I came across Norwegian with pictures of Alaska, that I wanted to go see. Unfortunately, I did not shop around and I probably should of. I was not entirely impressed with the whole process. Unfortunately, this was not an all inclusive cruise and everything had to be ...

Alaska was amazing... NCL Jewel was not!

I sailed to Alaska late in the season (September) Jewel and found the destination to be worth every penny. The downside to the trip was the NCL Jewel, specifically, the on-board activities and enrichment. We purchased the Mandara Spa package (Thermal Suite) for $139 per person which we had heard rave reviews about from other NCL cruisers. What we found was a spa area that was segregated ...

Alaska, I will be back!

I had never been to Alaska which was on my bucket list. There were 8 of us in our group and we had a great time. WE booked all but one excursion through NCL and everything went smoothly. Loved everything in each port but the Misty Fjords we all agreed would have been better seen by plane than by sea and it was also the day we had the worst weather which I am sure influenced our opinions. ...

First off Embarcation: Arrived at Pier 66 @ 9:45 AM. Done with check in and in the waiting area by 10:15. Group 5 for boarding. Boarded ship at 11:35. Super fast and easy. Very helpful port staff. Stopped at spa to verify our spa package, very very attractive women at the spa. Super easy to get sticker and tour. Lockers in men's locker room never wanted to work for me. Co-ed hot tub ...
