We’ve been to Alaska several times. This was the worst experience we have had in thirty years of cruising. The time spent in ports was laughably short. We stood in line for one hour waiting for a bus ride into Sitka. Arrived in Juneau at 7 AM only to wait in line for another bus and an all-aboard time of 12:30. Why so short? Because the Bliss had to clear its pier for another Norwegian ship ...
The Alaskan cruise was good. The weather was actually warm. lots of shorts and t-shirts moments. Cruise was casual, no need to bring a suit or formal wear. boarding was good and excursions were good. staying in the Haven makes the trip a lot less crowded We would definitely stay Haven again if we were to travel with this cruise line again. given our post cruise experience i dont see that ...
No bar service, 2 bartenders on smoking only deck, waiting up to 20 minute to get a pre paid and tipped no service!
Very bad or No bar service in the casino, you have to ask cosino crew to get bar service!???
On a 7 day cruise I had 1 I reoeat 1 HOT meal, waiters were having a pow wow in resturant while meals were nicely cooling dow delivered tables.
I Don't think you will ever see your ...
Dining was a challenge. Apparently it is not possible to serve warm food either at the Garden Cafe buffet or in the Main dining room. We had to send back breakfast meals 4 times out of 6 times while dining in Savor because they got the order wrong.
Disembarkation at ports was a nightmare. It took 90 minutes to get off the ship at Skagway. Someone said they underestimated the amount of ...
My father had always wanted to take a cruise to Alaska. So, I took my 79 year old elderly father on this NCL Bliss to Alaska. We were to leave from Seattle on the 10th, however, we along with the passengers who booked their whuttle with NCL got left in Seattle. We had to fly to Sitka to meet the ship and board as downliners.
We were to have a package of internet-free, packages-2 free, and ...
This was my 8th cruise and second on NCL. From embarkation to disembarkation, the cruise was a disappointment.
Embarkation: Prior to the cruise, we were told repeatedly that no test was required for vaccinated guests. However, the night before the cruise, NCL decided to require the testing - at OUR expense. When we got to the port, we had no idea that we would spend 3 1/2 hours in line waiting ...
This cruise was delayed two years due to covid. In 2020 we were scheduled on Royal Caribbean but our dates didn't work to rebook with them so we went with NCL. We had previously cruised on the NCL Escape and it was about average so we didn't think anything of booking the Bliss. This was our third Alaskan and 22nd overall cruise (only our 2nd & last on NCL).
Embarkation - This was a mess but ...
The overall trip was a disappointment. The food was like a cafeteria. There was only one late night restaurant available for the entire ship, the Local. There were no snacks, desserts, or anything available after the restaurants closed. The Speciality restaurants were not special, I hate that we paid for eating at Los Lobos. Comparable to Taco Bell. It was terrible. Cagne's Restaurant was ...
I have been on 26 cruises in total. I am 49 years old and booked this Alaska cruise with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. Before booking, I was told by 2 different representatives from NCL that the buffet would not have self service (which is what I wanted to hear). In other words, the NCL staff would be placing any food you want in your plate, you just wont be able to do that. Celebrity did ...
Cabin was good. Food as expected. Room was kept clean with freshtowels. Beds were better than some worse than others. Nice closet space.
Worst main dining room service in 8 cruises. Service was painfully slow. 30-45 mins to get a drink and starter/salad that was straight off the menu.
Go-karts were a ripoff. Stopped my group after 5 laps. Allowed someone to repeatedly block pass ...
