NCL Bliss - Very Nice, with Areas of Improvement Needed

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

We chose the cruise because our friends had never been to Alaska, so it was a first Alaskan for them. Our 2nd. And we chose this ship because it was brand new. We've been on 25 cruises so far: mostly Disney & Carnival. Some Royal and NCL. Pros: Ship itself is beautiful, modern and colorful. The entertainment is equal to Disney as far as quality. We were very impressed. The Cruise ...

Beautiful New Ship, Alaska Cruise

The food in the specialty restaurant were very good. Except the Smoke House"Q". We have been on 20 plus cruises on Norwegian, this was by far the worst food we ever had, Not edible. The ribs were greasy, the pull pork was a pile of pink mess. Service in all the restaurants were first rate.I'll never know why they replaced Maderino with Q?! The entertainment was not up to par with other ...

Great looking ship, lots to do. Feels more crowded than it should be at times.

We chose as it was close to home. Were in Alberta and Seattle is about a 1.5 hour plane ride away. Our sons are turning 18 soon and one of them wanted to do the teen club again as he gets so much out of them. This was no different as he really enjoyed entourage and the teens that were there. Food was average to be honest. Best meal I had was at lunch in the garden cage. Lots of variety and ...

Wonderful Alaskan Cruise but it wasn't quite bliss.

To start, the Bliss his a big ship. Getting from place to place can be a bit of an adventure if you need to use the elevators at peak times. Be ready for a long wait. Our stateroom was nice, we had a large oceanview window. Our steward was wonderful, she always kept our room nice and fresh. Each day we look forward to the towel animal she had created for us. We ended up eating at the many sit down ...

We wanted to do the Alaska cruise to see the sights. The ship and staff was great, and we wanted for nothing. The bar staff made great drinks, except for Maltings Whiskey Bar, which for some reason kept making my Crown and diet wrong. After two like that, I just went to other bars without any problems. Maybe it was a language thing, or maybe the gal bartender just didn't listen. Our balcony ...

Our Grand Daughter just graduated from the University of Hawaii Laboratory High School and she selected this cruise. We joined her along with her parents to celebrate her accomplishments. The restaurants were great, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the variety offered. The daily activities that was provided kept the cruise enjoyable. Due to the rainy weather our time slot to play the laser ...

Our first Alaska cruise, Norwegian Bliss did not disappoint!

We booked this cruise a few weeks before the sail and had a Balcony room (mid-ship, deck 13) and had a very good experience. To make this review succinct: Pros: - We tried pretty much all of the Specialty Restaurants and every single one of them was really worth it - food quality, service and price - Since it's a new ship the rooms were great and we found it to be spacious, quality of bed ...

Great cruise however NCL made some changes that were not so great

This was my 6th cruise with NCL. It was a great experience, however, some of the things I've come to expect from them were missing - the white hot party, chocolate night, the great photo package deals, more family friendly shows in the theatre. On the plus side, this new ship offered new experiences and places to eat - laser tag, go cars, coco's, Starbucks. Unlike prior cruises where one had ...

Too Many Up Charges

Sunny days!

Although we greatly enjoyed our cruise on the Norwegian Bliss, we were disappointed to see that many activities had an up charge. Racing - $10 charge. Laser tag - $5 charge. Prohibition show - $20 charge. Ocean Blu - $18 charge in addition to the speciality dining package. Margaritaville - $20 charge per person for lunch/dinner; you were not allowed to share and there was more than enough for 2 ...

Nearly perfect cruise, if Norwegian would make these few changes, it would be A+

My husband and I cruised the Bliss for our anniversary. First, all the great things. Embarkation in Seattle was seamless and quick. The ship has a "new house" smell. It's immaculate and new. The crew was constantly polishing. Our balcony room was smartly designed, clean and comfy, plenty of room for 2. Largish shower with plenty of hot water. There are so many light controls in the cabin and from ...
