Let me start by saying the cruise all around was decent. We had a number of issues within the ship, and staff
Day 1: Our luggage was delivered to the incorrect room. We were able to retrieve our luggage because the family that had our luggage read the luggage tag and brought it to our room. We brought this up to guest services and they looked at me as if I was stupid.
Day 2 we learned that ...
The ship its self is nicely presented but the service was horrible. First of all our bags were not in our room until 9pm, our room smelled like arm pit and we were suppose to have a bottle of champagne when we got to our room & desserts for our Anniversary and nothing was there. We asked our Stuart what happened and he comes back with a bottle of champagne that was warm not chilled. We asked for ...
I chose this cruise as it was the only one that fit into my schedule. I did not realize that cruise ships now nickel and dime you on everything.
The staff is not helpful when trying to book specialty restaurants. They can't recommend anything, they tell you to look at the menu and come back. I could not book specialty restaurants prior arriving on the ship, I tried, no specialty restaurant had ...
This was our first and last cruise with Norwegian. Between the minimal entertainment, aggressive sales tactics, and limited free dining options, we were annoyed and bored most of the time.
The ship is so crowded that it’s almost impossible to even find a seat in a public area. That goes for shore excursions as well.
Even though we prepaid for the premium plus drink package, we were charged ...
When we arrived at port #66 in seattle, we waited 4 1/2 hours outside in the rain. apparently, there was a communication glitch. Nevertheless, we proceeded with optimism that this was only temporary, and we were going to have a wonderful relaxing cruise. ncl did nothing to accommodate the 4,000 passengers waiting in line with luggage, tired and wet. there were approximately 4,000 passengers ...
I’ve cruised many times in the past with Carnival, Celebrity and Royal Carribean. This was the first time with NCL and my first time on a ship this size. We waited 3 hrs in the rain and 2 hrs inside trying to board the ship due to system being down. The buffet had good food but it was almost impossible to get a seat without at least a 30 min wait. The TV, app, WiFi and phones were down the first 2 ...
Not only were systems down for days on end, many things were misrepresented completely.
Not only were there 40 foot swells for over 12 hours, resulting in lots of things missed out on and sicknesses to endure.
The boat excursions were not at all as advertised.
It was not a large boat with a full-size bar. A tiny boat with no bar.
Systems were down so much that there was no ...
If you are considering Norwegian Bliss or any other NCL ship I suggest you run away. Book any other cruise line other than them. They completely ruined our honeymoon. The first 2 days they sailed into a storm- this wasn’t a regular storm this was 30 foot waves which caused the entire ship to have to stay in our rooms. (They knew about the storm despite claiming they didn’t. - my husband’s co ...
Many thanks to the hard working crew of the Bliss. If you are a first time cruiser or Alaskan cruiser this is not the cruise for you. We usually cruise Alaska annually and have cruised with HA, Princess, RCCL, and several Celebrity. This was our 10th Alaskan cruise. We have cruised various summer months; this was our 3rd cruise in September and we chose this for stops at Sitka and Icy Straight ...
We’ve been to Alaska several times. This was the worst experience we have had in thirty years of cruising. The time spent in ports was laughably short. We stood in line for one hour waiting for a bus ride into Sitka. Arrived in Juneau at 7 AM only to wait in line for another bus and an all-aboard time of 12:30. Why so short? Because the Bliss had to clear its pier for another Norwegian ship ...
