Everyone must visit Alaska atleast once in their lifetime! The views, cities, sights, mountains, and glaciers are all breathtaking. Being a young couple, we were prepared for the stereotypes heard of 'a lot of older people go on cruises' The week we went we got pretty unlucky with rain, a lot of fog, and lots of wind pretty much the entire cruise except for the last day- which we were told was ...
This was our 14th cruise with Princess. We flew in from Lax to Sea and used the Princess transfers from airport to ship and ship to airport which worked out very well and cost about the same as other transportation.
I have read some reviews where people have had problems using Princess transfers if they did it was most likely they didn't read the instructions that come with the transfers. It ...
This was our first cruise with Princess. We sailed the Inside Passage to Alaska. I was underwhelmed with many issues on this ship. Immediately when boarding we noticed definitely this is an older ship which didn't seem as "overhauled" as it claimed. I had heard that the Grand was overhauled a few years ago to the tune of millions. Definitely did not see any evidence of a great overhaul. Next step ...
Having been on many cruises, my daughter and son-in-law wanted us to book with them since they had already booked on this cruise. Having never cruised with Princess we decided to do so to be with our kids. I specified we wanted a balcony and when we arrived at the port we were given an "unassigned" status, which ended to be a balcony we a walkway underneath which was hardly a private balcony... We ...
We just got back off the Grand Princess Cruise Ship from a 7 day Alaska Cruise to Tracy Arm first week of Sept. Ship is very small on balcony rooms. Even the largest rooms they have on the Caribe deck. If you don't book on that level it is going to be even worse! No where to store your luggage in the room. Shower's are really tight! Jokes were even being made onboard about lathering up the walls ...
My wife and I took the September 14 roundtrip cruise from Seattle to Alaska. Overall it was a great trip. Weather was decent for September, we did a couple of nice excursions to Glaciers and enjoyed the overall cruise experience
The Grand is not top of the line for Princess, it is okay but clearly showing its age and not to the same standard as some of the larger or newer Princess ships. I'd say ...
My husband and I had a mini-suite cabin on the Dolphin Deck, and it was clean, well laid out, and spacious with ample closet space. Our cabin steward was really great; he had our room cleaned and ready whenever we returned from breakfast and then from dinner.
Food: we ate mostly in the Horizon Buffet which was had a very nice selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Princess did not skimp on ...
My cruise experience includes a 12-11-10-9 and many 7 night cruises as well a 5 night cruise, 3 and 2 night and this was my first ONE NIGHTER !! (I'm not that kind of girl!)
All kidding aside. The price (of the voyage) was right and our friends agreed to join us for a one night cruise out of Seattle to Vancouver. It was so cheap - You could not get a hotel room and dinner for that cost and I ...
As a veteran of 31 Princess cruises I have come to expect a high quality vacation experience as the normal performance from Princess Cruises. My wife and I were not disappointed on this cruise. Everything from the ease of embarkation to a speedy disembarkation was top notch. We had a clean, comfortable cabin and over-sized balcony on Caribe Deck where we enjoyed breakfasts and lunches gathered ...
Couple in our 50's with another couple. This is our 8th cruise 2nd with Princess. 3 Royal and 3 NCL. We flew from New York state to Seattle, long flight - take snacks, we flew with United and 2 beverages for an approx 5 hour flight was only offering unless you paid extra for a few pieces in a box.
Stayed at Best Western Airport Exe. It was ok, clean etc. Pool area was nice and also a deep pool ...
