We booked a Neptune suite. The cabin is typical for a Neptune; well maintained, clean, and serviced by an experienced pair of cabin attendants. The Neptune Lounge was as well. After much research, we chose Oceania to cruise Alaska for many reasons: the size of the ship to allow closer viewing of glaciers and inside passage cruising, crew to passenger ratio, refurbished interior design of the cabin and public spaces, specialty restaurants and overall dining, promise of cuisine excellence, gym, spa, and other amenities.

Overall the experience was a pleasurable one. Had no issues with the reservation process, embarkation, debarkation, the ports of call, and the ship itself. The staff worked hard to and were eager to serve, answer any question, or help with any issue. We loved the cruise itself, and will highly recommend this cruise to our friends.

We chose this cruise specifically to see the Hubbard Glacier. The cruise was a huge disappointment from the start. Our balcony cabin was dirty when we arrived. Fingerprints/ handprints on the slider and full length mirror. Stained shower curtain that should have been replaced. Food was generally awful. Just Don't Do It!
After working for Holland America Line for 6 years, and taking some 20+ cruises, I was talked into a cruise on NCL. Big Mistake! Big.

Small suites (we paid over $12K)
You can't bring bottled water onboard, and it costs $5.50 p/bottle to buy.
You are nickel and dimed TO DEATH.

Three generations including ten grandkids, 2 to 13 years. This was an ideal itinerary getting Texans out of the summer heat and seeing sights even many of the adult kids had never experienced. Celebrity has a good kids program and that was a major benefit.
