It is always so interesting to me how different people have such different experiences when traveling. I heard a lot of happy people and I heard a lot of whining on the ship, but I can only share my experience and we had a fantastic time sailing on Solstice. When traveling my top priority is always the destinations, the scenery! Alaska did not disappoint - it was breathtaking! Cruising is a ...

We had a big family get together. Most of us were able to get cabins close to each other. Entertainment, food and excursions were excellent. Our cabin steward, Nannt, was fabulous. She knew our names and addressed us appropriately each time she saw us. She also asked if there was anything else she could get us. Very helpful. Our cabin was spotless every day. Our dinner waiter, Nickel (sp?) ...

Eurodam 7 day to Alaska August 10, 2019 My wife and I decided to take a cruise for our 15th anniversary leaving the kids with grandparents for the week. This is our story. Before the Cruise We had initially booked and fully paid almost a year ago for an N interior room at $699/ea. By the time two months before sailing rolled around I saw prices had dropped significantly for the trip so I ...

Traveling up the Inside Passage has been on our bucket list for years and this year, celebrating our 40th, was the year to finally do a cruise. We initially chose this cruise at a special Princess Cruises presentation at AAA. Our experience surpassed our expectations. The ship furnishings were lovely, we loved having a balcony room, and the food and service were top notch, as were the ...

Better than Expected (4.5 stars)

This was a very last minute cruise booked within one week of travel. Got a decent price for a partially obstructed stateroom, which was actually larger than I expected. Having just gotten off RCL's Mariner of the Seas one week earlier, I was worried that the Eurodam was going to be boring by comparison. But our experience was better than I expected. For this cruise, it was just my 6 yo & me ...

-We chose this cruise for the Alaska experience. We arrived in Seattle 2 days before the cruise to have time to explore. Enjoyed market out by the docks.Ate at several great restaurants on the water. It was a beautiful ship and a great staff in the dining room. -When we arrived at the port in Seattle is was the easiest check-in that we have experienced so for. -We especially enjoyed the ...

No Nausea!

I have always wanted to go on a cruise, but because I can't sit on a swing without getting motion sickness, I was skeptical. Surprisingly enough, I very rarely felt any movement of the ship and when I did, it was fleeting. Seattle is a fun city to cruise from. Plenty to do if you arrive several days ahead of your departure, which I recommend doing. Cruise Alaska in August! We had absolutely ...

This was my 12th cruise. Fourth to Alaska. First on Holland. We chose this cruise because I love Alaska. The scenery is amazing; the excursions can be great, and, if you get great food, service, entertainment and accommodations, it can be blissful. There were things I really like about this cruise that lift it to an overall rating of 3 stars. There were things that were poor, which brought ...

Going Downhill

The food quality is going downhill from previous Princess cruises, especially in the buffet areas; but, also to some degree in the main dining rooms. The steak house was good, especially the filet. The boneless rib tasted good, but had too much gristle. Never found a really good desert in any dining area - except the real ice cream that you had to pay extra to get. This ship is over ten ...

We flew into Seattle the day before departure. Seattle was beautiful. Took the shuttle to the cruise port. Boarding went well. Excellent stateroom location - 8269. Did dinner and show the first night. On the second day, my DW developed gout in her toe. She hopped around till she couldn't take it anymore. Our steward got us a wheelchair and pushed her to the medical center and came and got her ...
