First and possibly last with Princess

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Emerald Princess

We left out of Seattle and we had planned on having time to get some water and other items we wanted on the ship but did not want to take on the airplane. When we landed at the airport it was a crap show from the get go. The staff at baggage claim took about an hour to check confirm what we had purchased even though we all had confirmation numbers. They also check your passport and your id here. ...

We cruised on Ruby Princess a few months ago to Mexico and were very impressed with the line so we booked our AK trip with Princess too. Entertainment were great. Staff members were amazing. Food was fresh and elegantly prepared and served. Formal meals were not just for eating---but events to be experienced. There were 10 adults + 1child (4 yo) and we would split up to go to trivia ...

Destination and excursions were wonderful. Food was really bad except for the SHARE RESTAURANT which was wonderful. Cruise staff and crew were great but ship needs maintenance and some care! The excursions and companies running excursions were all great especially the Juneau based whale photo op and mendenhal glacier hike. Very knowledgeable naturalists and professional. Cruise ship staff like ...

This cruise was a gift from my dad so it was even more enjoyable!! The service on this cruise was excellent from room service to our food servers. The food was very good. The entertainment was also very good. Almost always something exciting happening!!. We were treated very good. The only negatives would be that the ice cream and pizza bars were only open till 10. And the stop at Victoria ...

We had a fabulous cruise. We celebrated our 42nd anniversary and had two other couples with us this time. We had a wonderful time with Michel and Alvin as our waiters in the Botocelli dining room. Our whale watching excursion was top notch. We got to see 10-12 humpback whales “bubbling” and we enjoyed seeing them. We had a great time looking at the catch pot with starfish, urchins, and several ...

Wanted to go to Alaska to see the Glacier and never even got close. They don't tell you that on this itinerary that they don't take you to the glacier, that you have to book a separate excursion and I fly my sister and brother in law all the way from Pa to see the glacier falling in the water, and saw nothing. There is nothing to do on this boat! Boring. Service was terrible except for a few ...

We are members of the Captain's Club and have cruised well with Princess in the last, considering it an almost-luxury cruise line. This Alaska cruise last week was a nightmare. It felt like the ship was overbooked by about 500 people to begin with. However, throughout the entire week, we and other passengers were kicked out of areas where we had gone to read or play cards. There is no space for ...

To celebrate our 50th anniversary I couldn't be more dissatisfied. The food was very poor quality. The ship needs updated. The staff was rude. This was my third time sailing with princess cruise line. The past cruises were fantastic. This last one was a huge disappointment. We can never get our 50 th anniversary back. I have nothing more to add. I will never use princess again. The child's ...

I'm not sure where to start...terrible after cruise customer service

so much boat time.. so little land time.. like trivia.. trivia and MORE TRIVIA.. You're going to spend A LOT of time on the boat.. I hope you didn't really expect to SEE Alaska or Canada. I don't smoke but cigarettes are $5 a pack- probably the cheapest thing to buy. Prepare for the $13.94 x 2 daily gratuity charges. We paid for a breakfast by the window when we were in Tracy Arm Fjords, ...

Princess has the absolute best customer service, staff and crew. The cruise directors are engaging. It's always a fun experience. The food is incredible. The cabins are small, but well maintained. Elegance that has seemed to disappear from the other cruise lines. The passengers are truly appreciated on Princess. Absolultely love that we could have dinner at different times each night and meet ...
