Disappointing cruise to an amazing location

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Sun

This was our 4th cruise and third since covid. Alaska does not disappoint and we will be going back. As far as Norwegian is concerned I will need a lot of convincing to try them again. Our room was dirty when we arrived Drawers covered in dust bunnies and they were still there when we left. There were items from the previous cruisers still in the room when we got there. We didn't meet the room ...

Stay away from balcony room The bathroom stinks of mold and mildew. They have tried deep cleaning but I fear it’s under the bathtub and walls. Other cruisers say their room is fine so I guess I got stuck they need to take out tub and replace with shower. The mold caused allergies that made my entire 26 day cruise less pleasant. The dining room dinners were great but the lido buffet awful. The ...

Will Never Cruise Holland Again

After doing months of research, I chose this cruise for my family to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday and for him to see the B.B. King show. Well, this cruise was a big disappointment. Before we even got to go onto the ship, I had to argue with one of the staff about getting (5) five wheelchairs for us. Then after that was finally settled and no, I only received 2 wheelchairs, we walked on board ...

Norwegian Sun Disaster

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Sun

We chose this cruise specifically to see the Hubbard Glacier. The cruise was a huge disappointment from the start. Our balcony cabin was dirty when we arrived. Fingerprints/ handprints on the slider and full length mirror. Stained shower curtain that should have been replaced. Food was generally awful. My first dinner in the main dining room consisted of the world's smallest spinach salad, ...

Norwegian was unwilling to offer restitution in any way when contacted regarding our wretched experience with them. They eventually offered an onboard credit (useless since we will NEVER sail with them again) when we filed a BBB complaint. In an effort to prevent others from the same experience and financial disappointment, I am sharing my survey responses to NCL below: Part one: A top ...

My husband and I have never been on vacation together and we were celebrating our 21st anniversary. I was on a Norwegian cruise to Alaska 15 years ago and it was absolutely amazing, fantastic food and over the top cabin steward, got animal towels and it was so clean! I wanted to do something special with my husband for our anniversary, and decided on the Norwegian Sun. It was a 10 day cruise ...

Failed to provide correctly fitting child life preserver until day 5!

First of all we knew this was an older & smaller ship, this is awhy we chose the Sun for this particular vacation. I am a mom to four kids and safety is a huge concern of mine. We requested a correctly fitting life preserver for my youngest child prior to setting sail. We were told that the cabin stewards were extremely busy with suitcases and we would have to wait. Okay. No life jacket was ...

Worst Cruise Line

This cruise was the first of the year to Alaska for Holland America this year, 2023. We had heard favorable things about a Holland America; however, the cruise line failed to live up to any of the expectations that people had set for us. It began by having the board at 11 AM without our cabins being ready nor leaving until 5 PM. All of the passengers were directed to the Lido deck, where they ...

Dismal experience!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Sun

Travel with Alan had a killer deal on a 21 day Panama trip. Ok, where to start: Soaked cabin floor, had to move. Likely black mold! They tried to fix it by blowing hot air around the cabin! Moved to worse cabin location at the very aft of the ship. Heavy rocking and vibrations. Forced to move during Panama lock run Missed two hours of Panama Canal Screaming balcony door all night Rattling ...

Cruise from Hell

We wife and I booked this cruise as a getaway! We live in South Florida and flew to Seattle for the 20 day cruise back to Miami. We upgraded to a balcony suite. Bigger room and balcony, but all the suites on the 11th floor are the noisiest on the whole ship! Your underneath the Spinnaker Lounge which goes on until 11PM and the maintainable work goes in until 12.30 AM, but that’s not the ...
