Flew in from Dallas in the morning and had set up town car service to the dock.....they turned up with a 12 seat van....not very happy. Got to the boat at 11:30 and was surprised it only took less than 20 mins to get through the line and board. We booked Aqua class so we could eat at Blu, smart move as this made all the difference. The maitre d (Czajka Wlodzimerz) was fantastic, remembered who we ...
I've cruised on RCCL and Carnival, and have generally enjoyed my time cruising. However, after my Celebrity experience, it will be hard for me to book any other line for 7 day cruises that Celebrity also offers. Truly, the one thing that disappoints me is that Celebrity doesn't offer more 7 day itineraries, especially in the European market. But I digress...
Contrary to some reviews, boarding ...
So as it goes with suites and aquaclass passengers embarkation was great since we get expedited check in. I also did my on line check in so that made it even faster with a total of 10 minutes from taxi at port to champagne on board.
My original state room was 6027 aquaclass, but when I looked at it I had to call down and complain. The bathroom mirror was shattered, and some of the shower glass ...
This was our first trip on a Celebrity line. This trip was also to Alaska the last week of July out of Seattle.
We had numerous problems on this ship. Although it was noted in other forums that this ship was "dry-docked" the ship was still dirty. Stained carpets, paint on the main dining room windows. Shore excursions desk was only open for a limited amount of time during the morning or ...
Convenience to departure port and cost were the initial reasons for choosing this cruise. Destination ports were secondary. I'd heard (mostly) good things about Celebrity and was pleased at the scheduled fare.
Check-in took two hours but did go smoothly.
This was the first time I had a room without a veranda, and actually was almost entirely pleased with the view from our 2nd deck ...
Arrived Seattle one day prior to the ship sail day, get to the ship terminal around 11:30, no porter or any one greeting us until almost to the place drop off the luggage. Then the sign was not clear about what the passenger should go after that, perhaps that we were early, but it just seems a little disorganized on the size of the company and ship.
Everything went smoothly, go eat lunch, ...
We are a family of five with 3 girls ages 19 to 11. We have been on eight cruises, including Celebrity and my wife and I are both professionals.
Pre-Cruise: We arrived at SEA the day before form DTW just to try and get used to the time change. It helped but two or three days would probably have been better---but also more expensive. We stayed at the Hilton Double Tree near the airport. The ...
I am a frequent cruiser and we decided last minute (4 weeks out) to book an Alaska cruise. Celebrity Infinity had availability in the class we were interested in (Aqua Concierge CC) deck 11. This new class gives Aqua passengers exclusive access to the specialty restaurant Blu, spa amenities in the cabins, and exclusive access to the Persian Garden steam room/Turkish bath in the spa. Aqua cabins ...
Overall this was a nice cruise. It is interesting how separate guests on the same cruise can have such differing experiences and opinions.
When I was reading reviews before my cruise, I was looking to find some sort of "inside scoop", tips or suggestions that would give me some pre-Infinity knowledge.
I found one review that I printed, highlighted and brought with me. It helped with a few ...
Overall, I'd say we had a wonderful cruise but there is a lot of room for improvement.
Positives: Room with veranda was great with adequate storage and great views. Cabin attendants came when we were gone every time. Towels, robes, etc were appropriate.
Food was excellent and plentiful.
Entertainment was surprisingly good. Brent Nixon was entertaining and a talented educator. I was interested ...
