We had booked this cruise originally for July 2020; however, cancelled twice due to COVID pandemic. Happy to say we were finally able to cruise this time. Embarkation in Seattle (Smith Cove - Pier 91) was easy. We flew into Seattle the day before and stayed at Hotel Sorrento ... a historic Seattle hotel about a 15 minute taxi ride to the port. We arrived at the port at approximately 10:30 ...

Poor treatment due to covid

Seven members of our family enjoyed a lovely 5 day cruise for the most part. The hostess at the dining room had great difficulty managing reservations and we were bounced from table to table in My Time Dining although our reservation was for the same time each night. Our waiter was great and the service to our rooms was acceptable. We often had to ask for missing items like clean towels and ...

Outstanding Family Alaska Cruise on Beautiful Ship

We’d done an Alaska cruise 5 years ago and thought it would be fantastic for our kids and grandkids, so we booked 4 SRs for all and took all. It is a perfect itinerary for the 3 generations. Boarding was Very Smooth. Next to us was the RCL ship and it had a line that ran the length of the dock while Celebrity had us just walk in, go through a bit of a line and all went well.Works when we show ...

Anniversary Cruise

This was our second time on a cruise and the first time on celebrity. To say the ship was dated and worn would be an understatement. Our cabin was an aft sunset verandah worth every penny for the view alone. There were at least ten cases of COVID on our ship; no one was wearing a mask, only the staff. Service was good, but there was an obvious language problem several times, but they did try ...

Disappointing cruise on a tired, old, not well maintained, ship.

Nightmare embarkation, no so-called health check as noted by Celebrity. Ship looks and feels old both on the interior and exterior. Outside areas rusting and missing paint. Wood surfaces, tables, stairs etc. were worn to the point where the finish was completely gone and rubber strips for traction on the stairs were peeling off. The back center wooden stairs from deck 14 to 15 were left flooded to ...

This was our 4th cruise with Celebrity, our 5th overall (the other with NCL). It was our first post-pandemic trip, we were basically forced to book because our FCC was going to expire. I wanted a domestic departure to avoid any covid travel issues that might occur with an international departure. Hubby has always wanted to go to on an Alaskan. This cruise fit the bill. Food is a big deal ...

First Time on Celebrity

I chose Celebrity after being bumped at the last minute from a June 1 sailing of Cunard's Queen Elizabeth due to "staffing issues", despite being a Cunard Platinum World Club member. I chose Celebrity over Princess and Holland America because Celebrity is supposedly a "cut above" Princess in particular. (Tried Princess twice .. never again!) PRICE: I feel like I got a pretty good deal on a ...

Weather not great but Cruise was wonderful

From the moment we boarded the Solstice until the day we departed, the crew of the Solstice gave us an exceptional cruising experience. Yes, as some people have said, the interior of the ship is dated and she is ready for her retrofitting to a Retreat vessel. But hat being said, some older furniture and a few carpet stains could not ruin our voyage. We ate in Luminae as we stayed in a Suite, ...

Second time to Alaska, but first time on Celebrity. The ship is in great shape with the only exception being the mini bars. In most cases, based on our informal elevator survey these can't be called refrigerated at all. If you need that for medical or other reasons be aggressive early. They don't have spare units or anyone that can fix them as best we can tell. Even with all the empty rooms ...

Ship was Run down and Worn out

After having great cruises on both the newer Edge & the Apex ships we were totally dissatisfied with the run down interior of the Ocean View Cafe and the Sky Lounge. The furniture had stains, torn chairs, ripped drapes and some of the glass windows were so dirty you could barely see out of them. My wife & I thought Celebrity was a luxurious brand. We never saw even once, not one bar waiter in the ...
