Alaskan Cruise on Legend

We decided to cruise with my brother & sister-in-law when they booked an Alaskan cruise on Legend. We are not first time cruisers...we have cruised a few times before with another cruise line, so we had a chance to compare similarities and differences. Overall, I was a little disappointed with Carnival. The cabin was not very clean...you could see where there were stains on the wall where someone ...

Alaska Cruise - Carnival Legend (7/16/19)

Overall, the cruise met my expectations. With this being my 13th Carnival adventure, I lower my exceptions with each journey. Services provided by Carnival diminish with each cruise. For example, what was once included in the price of a cruise now have fees attached. The Legend needs a lot of TLC. Exterior and interior painting is needed, furniture needs replaced as well as carpet. ...

Ship needs a little tlc. Staff great, service great. Worse cruise so far, due to on board ship entertainment, or lack of it. Victoria was a total waste of time. All of other ports were off the charts fantastic. Food was very good, as was all service. Definitely not a fun ship. May have to return to other cruise lines in future. If you going to Alaska, choose different ...

Just got back from Alaska on the Legend

We just got off the Legend yesterday. Wanted to write a quick review before I forget details. We had an aft balcony on Deck 5. Our room was nice, but the balcony was sooty and you could not see through the glass on the balcony at all. That being said, we did spend time on the balcony and would just stand and watch the ocean... If I had to do over again, I would not have gotten an aft balcony ...

Service NOT there

After 70 cruises I may be a little biased. However after a week on the Legend I feel I am more then qualified to say the food and service was way below par for any cruise ship. Our servers were extremely nice but lacked in the skills required to maintain a table of 7, much less four more tables. Our food was always cold and usually served all at once, yes starters, salads, soups and mains all ...

Great Itinerary - Gaudy Ship

My husband and I sailed on the Legend years ago and left with the overall impression that the decor was extremely gaudy and the overall experience was so-so. However, when friends picked this cruise and invited us along, we opted to join them for their company more than anything else. Here are my overall impressions of our experience this time: Embarkation and debarkation - some of the ...

Cabin 5122. We had a great time in Alaska. Might try a different ship next time.

We chose the Carnival Legend because we cruise with the Carnival lime the most. It allowed us to stay within our budget while also selecting the extended balcony. We stayed in room 5122. The room itself was okay. We had the queen bed and a couch, which turned into a bed for our 6 year old son. I liked that it was near Camp Ocean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. It came with a hair ...

Not impressed

Let me start with the positives... We had fantastic service at the Red Frog (our fave spot). Our teen loved club o2 for 15-17 yr olds. She spent a lot more time there than our last 2 cruises with carnival. Maid service for our cabin was wonderful. They left our cabin very clean each day. Overall, the ship was impressively clean too! Now.... I was super excited about the recent dry dock ...

Mildly disappointed

I picked this cruise because my parents have wanted to cruise to Alaska fro a long time, and I've always cruised with Carnival. We saw a lot less wildlife than I expected on the trip. My parents really enjoyed the trip and loved the views of the mountains, glacier, bald eagles and whales. There wasn't as much to do on the ship as I expected. They had shows each night, but some of them ...
