The Customer-Facing Crew is Outstanding, But…

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on SeaDream II

We traveled on SeaDream II in the Admiral Suite for the Spring 2023 Trans-Atlantic Crossing. Everything you’ve heard about the Crew (at least the customer-facing crew) is exactly true. They are wonderful, accommodating, and very hard working. They are the major selling point for this Line. If you are a die-hard SeaDream fan, you may want to stop reading because… The Emperor Has No ...

My wife and I have been on more than 30 cruises including Seabourn, Crystal, Cunard, and Celebrity We looked at the Berlitz Guide to Cruising to get advice on the best small cruise ships. Douglas Ward, the author of the Berlitz Guide 2019, rated the SeaDream 1 yacht as 5 stars, which influenced us to take a cruise with them. However, in our opinion SeaDream 1 only warrants barely a 4 stars ...

We'd been with Sea Dream Yacht Club twice before and enjoyed it very much. This trip was our LAST on Sea Dream. We had booked back-to-back cruises for 2018 on board which we have now cancelled. Our stateroom was OK...it was one of the ones that can be converted into a suite. The layout was set up for combining cabins...not for being an individual room. The first week we had one chef and ...

SeaDream: the Carnival Cruise of the Luxury Brands

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on SeaDream I

Sea Dream is the Carnival Cruise line of the luxury brands. Overall the quality of the food was very good, but the wines served were not high quality, thus greatly dimishing the dining experience. They wanted vast amounts of money for the better wines. The service was not first rate either. There were several service failures. The attitude of several staff members was arrogant. Prices in the ...

Maiden Amazon Voyage of SeaDream II ...

It was our first trip on a SeaDream cruise ship... and it was the company's first time (maiden voyage) visiting 'The Amazon.' First, it must be said, the absolutely BEST part sailing with SeaDream are it's wonderful passengers. They are by far the company's greatest asset, and some of the nicest, most fun-loving folks you will encounter on ANY cruise ship. And SeaDream crew members (on the ...

Seadream Falls Short of Marketing

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on SeaDream II

I was eagerly waiting a cruise with Seadream for many years. I decided to do a Caribbean itinerary as test before sailing them on a longer European tour. I have sailed with several higher end lines such as Silversea, Regent and Seaborn. For the Caribbean, however, I decided that this ship would be a perfect way to enjoy the first rate service and food but have greater access to the ...

A Disappointing Experience, but is it the Norm?

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on SeaDream II

We have cruised Regent in the past, and our TA called with a great deal on SeaDream, a line I've always wanted to try based on reviews and the promises made in its marketing materials: flexible itineraries designed to allow more time in small, uncrowded ports; sports marina with included water toys/equipment; excellent service where everyone calls you by name; first-class dining; and sleeping ...
