I choose this trip because It was a good introduction of this expedition new ship from Seabourn , this would be my third cruise on Seabourn which I was very impress with their service and overall quality in the past 2 cruises especially for what you pay for , my cruise was only 7 days from Buenos Aire to Rio , unfortunately I was to do the Iquitos to Manaus but this was canceled , the ship came ...
We chose this cruise as we had so enjoyed a fantastic trip with Seabourn Quest in 2016. We wanted to skip a month of Winter and be spoilt whilst doing it.
To rate it 3 stars seems mean, but the trouble is parts of the cruise were 2 star and parts were 4, never did it achieve the 6 stars it clams to be!
Embarkation was a little shambolic, but it was Barbados, so we were not surprised. ...
This was our second cruise with Seabourn. The first was fabulous, prior to the Carnival ownership change.
The cabin was the same, but our steward was not there when we arrived. In fact, it took some time to find out who it was. She, and her colleagues appeared to be run off their feet. We asked a couple of times for additions to the bar fridge - one being sparkling water with a screw top (which ...
This cruise was a bit off balance due to changes in itinerary as a result of the hurricanes. Short and sweet – 6 nights – 3 sea days followed by 2 nice ports.
Embarkation and disembarkation were fine. We usually spring for a penthouse but because of the duration settled on a ‘normal’ suite. It was absolutely fine. Housekeeping excellent as always with the only criticism being a tad slow ...
We are a couple in our mid sixties who have longed to go to Antarctica but hesitated as one of us is inclined to sea sickness. However with modern stabiliser technology, newer ships and larger ships the decision was made to go as we felt our window of opportunity to do it while in good health was closing.
The ship is magnificent, nothing is too much trouble from a service perspective and the ...
The Seabourn Quest is an excellent sized ship and this Antarctic cruise was supreme . The ship is big enough to handle any seas on the way to Antarctica, but has a small enough customer population, and a big enough staff to make service quite personal. The excursions along the west coast of South America and in Punta Arenas were very well done. Locations were fabulous, and the hosts were very good ...
Shipboard package (food, cabin, service, staff, entertainment, etc) up to usual Seabourn standard - with two exceptions;
- strike in Buenos Aires meant ship was not able to re-provision and many items were in short supply or simply unavailable
- Quest is designed for warm weather cruising and when outside space is not available, some facilities, such as the Colonnade, are unpleasantly ...
I recently travelled with Seabourn Sojourn and my expectations were very high as I had heard only good things about this cruise line. The cruise went from Buenos Aires to Manaus.
Seabourn prides itself on service and this was excellent.
I found the dining options on the ship very restrictive and it was difficult to find healthy food choices outside of mealtimes. The dining room did not ...
We are new to cruising, but not to travel. Have lived in Asia, spent a month in New Zealand & about 15 vacation trips to Europe. We took an Alaskan inside passage cruise about 15 years ago that was positive & last Oct. a Greek Isle cruise on Oceania Rivera that went well. We normally do all the prep ourselves(half the fun of travel), rent a car & stay mostly in the country side in B&B's.
My ...
This review bears a remarkable similarity to the story of "The Curate's Egg". Many of the aspects of the cruise were excellent, but some parts were very bad.
Let's deal firstly with the good bits. At just two years old, Seabourn Sojourn is a lovely ship. We embarked in Fort Lauderdale on a wonderful itinerary which took us through the Panama Canal, all the way down the west coast of South ...
