A great world cruise
"The people we met were from the US, Australia, South Africa, the UK, Germany and New Zealand just to name a few Seabourn Moments Seabourn moments are one of the important things about sailing on Seabourn so here are just a few of them that we experienced. On another subject, one of the things we learned at a dinner with the Chief Purser on this World Cruise is that they have a series of challenges that shorter cruises may not...."Read More

20 Days on the Sojourn

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We decided to cruise on the Seabourn, having only done one other cruise with them. We did back to back cruises, starting in Barcelona and ending in Rome 20 days in all.Embarkation was good. The ship softgoods (interiors of cabins} very very tired. They were in dry dock during Covid, and it would have been a good job to re-do those dark cabins, with lighter fabric. Our penthouse suite was very ...

Let’s start with a disclaimer. We are strong Seabourn advocates. We have sailed on Seabourn for years and have spent more than 500 nights aboard Seabourn Ships. That being said, this review will be honest and we will share with you the good and fair on our trip. You will notice we did not use the word “bad”. The reason for us not using this word, is that we have had no bad experiences on this ...

For those of you who have read some of the, shall we say, less than glowing recent Reviews of the Sojourn on this site, and who might as a result, have some hesitation about booking this ship, as we did despite previous sailings, I would say very firmly "do not worry". Standards throughout the ship remain very high indeed - the food in all outlets is of an excellent standard, the inclusive wines ...

Sorry Seabourn: You Blew It

We have just finished our "Capetown to Singapore" part of the Sojourn World Cruise. BACKGROUND My wife and I used to be died-in-the-wool Seabourn fans and have Diamond (250+ days) status. We loved the experience. That all fell apart on a cruise in 2016 when they were introducing Thomas Keller (but before they had the separate TK Grill). The quality and variety of food dropped so bad that we ...

Wonderful 20 day Cruise

Our 5th Seabourn cruise and every time I say 'this was my favourite'! We enjoyed every minute despite having some dodgy weather to cope with and missing a couple of ports because of that. We felt that this was the happiest cruise we'd been on, more or less everyone was cheerful and that was down, as always, to the superb Staff who yet again went over and above to make it as enjoyable as ...

Seabourn Still Struggling with experienced staff; some real service issues

We were on board for 36 days and had some really great crew members, but serious issues with many the didn’t have a clue what they were doing and some just plain overwhelmed. Our cabin stewardess was the worst I have had in 40 YEARS of cruising...clearly overwhelmed, everyday her service cart was the last to leave the passageway....where are the supervisiors to help with the proper training and ...

Nice Ship but Far From Perfect

Having cruised on larger ships (Cunard & Celebrity), we decided to try a luxury, mid-size ship and booked the Seabourn Sojourn for its 20 night cruise from Cape Town to the Maldives. On the plus side: 1) Our embarkation and disembarkation were managed efficiently. 1) The verandah cabin was a pleasant surprise - spacious with heaps of hanging/drawer space and an enormous modern bathroom. ...

Cracks appearing

Cabin and Sailing We both really enjoy sailing with Seabourn, however it must be said that we are starting to see a few cracks in the wall apart from the service which continues in our mind to be 110% Subsequent to our 2017 sailing in Alaska with the mini refit in December we were rather disappointed. The pool deck after we were advised had been replaced remained faulty and was at one ...

A truly wonderful cruise

Our 3rd SB cruise and it just gets better and better! Embarkation was faultless and quick, lunch in the Colonnade awaited us and we sat and had a leisurely lunch then straight to our cabin for unpacking. From then on, it was all just a fabulous time. After an independent tour in Rio, we had 5 straight sea days before we reached Tristan da Cunha. Being able to visit the remotest inhabited ...

Wonderful Experience on the Sojourn

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

User Avatar

We just returned from a fantastic Middle East cruise on the Sojourn. The cruise could not have been better despite an ominous start due to a late change in the itinerary which left out all Egyptian ports and substituted them with a second day in Israel, a day in Kusadasi and a day in Mykonos (something we managed to solve by organizing a pre-cruise short trip to Cairo and Luxor). This was our ...
