1-10 of 28 Seabourn Quest Cruise Reviews for Senior to Europe - Western Mediterranean
We've sailed Seabourn 5 times and this was our first since the pandemic.
A DISAPPOINTMENT. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO PRIOR SAILINGS.
Don’t charge full prices for over 1/2 staff still brand new
30k for an 11 day cruise with this many issues no thanks
Pros:
Size of ship we still like
Location of PH suite on deck 10, very quiet -although view blocked PH1025
Keller restaurant still ...
First a general word of caution: Seabourn have announced that they will focus on their expedition business, and they have started selling off their ocean going ships one at a time. The Odyssey has already been sold to leave Seabourn in August 2024. My wife and I sailed on Seabourn Legend a few months before it was handed over to Windstar in 2015. All experienced staff had left the ship and ...
We chose this cruise because we heard/read that this was a top of the line cruise and we wanted to compare to other cruise lines we've sailed with including some European river cruises. From the time we booked the cruise until we actually embarked, communication and customer service was definitely sub par. All correspondence with customer service was by phone with the exception of booking a ...
We were on board for 24 days, 10 days with our adult family. The family had not sailed with Seabourn, we had done many cruises with Crystal…my DH & I have over 250 days on Seabourn ….we had so many “not to Seabourn standards” that we are booking a SS cruise next!
The office in SEA had so much trouble with our OBC that one never came thru at all and one came thru on the last day of the 10 day ...
I will not discuss the noticiable drop in service here, just the Covid situation. Seabourn’s attitude is cavalier at best, not even enforcing their own written rules. On day eight of an eleven day cruise, there were seven quarantined rooms on our floor out of 189 passengers on board. Not a peep or warning from company to passengers.
“Masks are required to be worn on transportation during any ...
Seabourn is DEFINITELY NOT meeting the 5-star standards for which they were previously known. As Parallel40 correctly pointed out, the Ship's Officers absolutely BUNGLED the handling of the onboard Covid issue. Rather than publicly acknowledging there was, in fact, a small outbreak of Covid among BOTH passengers "&" crew, they simply ignored the issue & acted as if no one would notice the ...
We are a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We travel extensively and we’re looking for a fun way to explore the Adriatic. We chose this cruise because of the 18 day itinerary and the room sizes. The cruises were only half full. We enjoyed all of our dining experiences in all of the restaurants. The staff knew our preferences quickly and we enjoyed everything. The staff were fantastic. We ...
We tried to book a cruise around 6 weeks out and managed to reserve guaranteed suite but flights were not available to book. This was supposedly linked to the move of embarkation from Venice to Ravenna. (didn’t Venice ban cruise ships from 1st August 2021? Why was this a surprise 9 months later?) After another week and calls to Seabourn and TA we were advised that flights could now be booked but ...
We were a bit nervous when we learned that our 18 night cruise on the Quest was the first sailing since covid shutdown. However, Seabourn staff did a wonderful job and most things seemed "back to normal". We sailed from Barcelona to Ravenna (a port 2 hour included bus ride from Venice) as large ships can no longer dock in Venice.
There was some pre-cruise confusion on check-in, ship board ...
Seabourn consistently delivers a luxury experience. The thing that sets Seabourn apart among so many cruise line options is that you never feeling like one in a crowd. Every staff member aboard treats you as though you are the most important person on the ship and they deliver on nearly anything you might request either formally or in some cases a casual mention of something you enjoy will be ...
