Not Quite The Same Seabourn
"On the positive side our cabin was, as always, very good and our room service staff friendly and helpful. For us, perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the last minute cancellation of all excursions in Istanbul - a major reason why we had cruise in the first place - because of the marathon that was taking place...."Read More

Very Unsatisfactory Experience

This was our first experience on Seabourn. We selected the cruise based on the itinerary that included Petra Jordan. Our cabin and cabin attendants were wonderful. The food in most of the restaurants was mediocre and bland n terms of flavors. Each restaurant has many choices which change daily so there is a great variety of food in each restaurant. It didn't matter which restaurant we ...

Not Quite The Same Seabourn

We were really looking forward to our 14-day cruise - Athens - Istanbul - Athens - as we had loved all our previous voyages with Seabourn. However, while certain features remained distinctively Seabourn, some things had definitely changed. On the positive side our cabin was, as always, very good and our room service staff friendly and helpful. The public areas of the ship were ...

We have about a dozen cruises under our belts split roughly evenly between Seabourn, Silversea and Crystal. Our last cruise was Quest in 2019. Obviously things have changed a bit in the past 3 years and to be clear do recognise that all hospitality venues have had serious challenges whether land or sea based. I did a live blog which can amplify issues so am trying here to take a step back. It is ...

This was our first cruise on Seabourn and it was excellent. A week from Athens to Athens with a port of call each day in the Greek Isles and Turkey. The Encore is immaculately maintained and clean. We had excellent service from very friendly staff. Excellent food in the The Restaurant and The Thomas Keller Grill. The entertainment was excellent. Seabourn put on an evening concert in the ...

A Great Luxury Experience of Food and Service

First time Seabourn cruisers. Went with another couple of best friends. The Seabourn experience for us was a splurge and was a wonderful experience. From the roomy cabins to the excellent food. We loved the smaller ship size (500) passengers and the ease of walking to various places on the ship instead of relying on elevators. Embarkation was a little weird. They gave you numbers and were told ...

Marvelous cruise all around: Athens to Istanbul to Athens

It was so nice to be back on board a ship and sailing once more. The Encore was nearly spotless, so the 2 year Covid lay up allowed for maintenance and it showed with a sparkling appearance. With fewer than 250 guests both weeks and more than 400 crew, shall we say we were pampered like never before? The dining venues were competing for our patronage! And the food was excellent and varied in all ...

The best food of all the small luxury cruise ships

We chose Seabourn again, because we had tried other lines - Silversea and Regent. On those other lines the excursions were great, but we were not impressed with the food or service. Seabourn had recently hired a new chef for the pool deck evening dining venue - called Earth and Sea. Phenomenal food. Better than any restaurant we have in Seattle or anywhere else. After trying the other dining ...

Smaller cruise line, very attentive crew, nothing was a problem, this was the second of the seabourn ships we have been on, the year before we were on the Oncore but prefer the Odyssey, so much so we have booked our trip for next year on the Odyssey, she is just a bit smaller than the encore and we felt more at home. Our cabin on both ships was fabulous, really roomy and great bathrooms. We ...

Because of the destination and the reviews is why we picked Seabourn .After sailing with Seabourn I will never go with another cruise. It was outstanding in every way. We have been with 6 other cruise lines in the past and Seabourn is far superior. The food in all the resturants was excellant. The staff could not do enough for you and there was a lot of them. From the embarkation to the ...

Enjoyable cruise with great weather

We booked a v2 suite (532) in June and not our normal guaranteed as there are a few v1 and v2 suites we really don’t like. Just over a week out British Airways pilots announced their strikes dates one of which was our departure day. Seabourn quickly rebooked us on another flight on the previous day but unfortunately this was from Heathrow and not Gatwick (our local airport) as per our original ...
