Great Alaska cruise, food, service not so great.
"The Narrow Gauge Railway was great and a highlight of the cruise, we also enjoyed the Catamaran ride(s) but, it was the last day of the cruise and we didn't get back till around 5pm.One thing to keep in mind is that the Odyssey, being a small ship rarely gets to dock (Except for Embarkation & Disembarkation) so lots of positioning off shore and riding the Tender boats in...."Read More

We had not been on Seabourn and very much enjoyed our first trip. Nice people. Pleasant staff and generally a product that is a notch up from other lines we’ve been on. Odyssey is an older vessel but I think this adds charm. Sure there are some imperfect things (tempura on a buffet is one) but never a lineup. First class cabin attendants. Excellent food including specialty restaurant and a ...

First of all, we enjoyed our time on the Odyssey, and most of the crew were exceptional. Matt Morgan the Cruise Director kept us informed and made the cruise fun. Most of the crew were professional, attentive and very friendly. We chose Seabourn for our first cruise because we knew that a small ship was more our style. The ship overall was great, but showing her age. By the way, the Odyssey has ...

It is great to be cruising again, this is our 3rd post Covid cruise, the other two were on Crystal’s Serenity (July) and Symphony (December). Today is packing day so I thought I would post this review. I have been traveling for business during the COVID era so I usually mask, sanitize, and keep distances having in last year been to Spain, Dubai, Doha, Israel, Austria, and Germany. Been lucky ...

This was our 5th. Seabourn cruise , the final sailing from Barbados for the winter Caribbean season. Many highlights included, a seamless embarkation , with only 6 others guests at a time, a great Barbados band before sail away, large expanse of glass looking onto the balcony, gracious crew, a guest lecturer , great shows , lots of great movies, superb Helen deLange trio in the Club, and ...

We chose Seabourn having traveled with them before. As always the staff were delightfulm friendly, helpful and efficient. Our cabin was clean, spacious and well provided minibar was continually restocked. The food on board was generally superb. We ate mostly in the main dining room for dinner, Colonnade for breakfast and pool bar for snack lunch. Othee options available all the time. Simple ...

My first Seabourn Cruise, maybe my expectations were too high?

After reading many reviews of Seabourn I decided to book this cruise. The ship is smaller than the new floating Iran sprawl like tower blocks which was a real plus for me. The personal and attentive service by many staff was great but that seemed to magnify the faults when they showed. Breakfast in the collonade was an American buffet and options including none cremated bacon were available to ...

Pretty Good Odyssey

We took a seven day Eastern Carribean cruise on the Ofyssey. Didn’t get off the ship much because we have discovered over the years that most Carribean Island adventures are pretty fungible. We took an upgrade opportunity for one of the 4 spa suites on 10 accessible only via spiral staircase in the spa- a good pick. Great outdoor deck at the rear, plenty of inside space, huge bath and ...

Caribbean cruise with a daily different port.. no days at sea

We liked this cruise because we don’t typically want days at sea. This was a St. Maartin to Barbados. Cruise was 7 nights which is short but perfect for us, especially on a ship with few entertainment options. The food was outstanding but selection was pretty much exactly the same each day. Occasionally an extra different main dish was offered in most restaurants. We would have liked to have ...

We have approx 14 cruises under our belt, but this is the 1st for the Caribbean. !st Seabourn , they took care of us all the way. Before we were out of the taxi we were met by a representative and then guided to check in, no lines nor waiting ...and had a drink and lunch in no time. As we left the ship once again guided thru to a taxi, effortless. The room was nice, loved the walk in closet ...

Service is exceptionally excellent by all staff allways. Food is not up to expectations: very refined on the printed menus but too many different ingredients result sometimes in lack of genuine taste. Thomas Keller Grill is just o.k., nothing exceptionnal. For lunch at the Collonade, there is not much variety for the cold dishes and salads: allways the shame shrimps and salmon and ...
