Good cabin, just average size, small closet. Light fake wood paneling. The closets have a silly closing mechanism, closing or opening produces noise however careful you are. Beds comfortable and no noise from neighbours or ships engines. Bathrooms do not have enough storing space. We don't like the modern bathroom fittings, can't get used to them. Generous balcony. After a V2 cabin on the Ovation (too narrow, too dark plus narrow uncomfortable beds) we were more than happy with this one on the Odyssey. Read Less

We had booked a V1 guarantee and found out the week before we boarded that we had been assigned a handicap room on deck 8. The cabin was the biggest we have ever had on a cruise and was very nice, if quirky. We had a walk-in shower (no lip to contain the water but very good drainage) and no tub, which I was looking forward to enjoying. The closet consisted of 3 narrow units along one wall with sliding doors that had to be perfectly aligned or they would rattle at night. And there was a nice vanity area but it did not have a mirror as the other Veranda cabins did, so I used the free standing mirror from the bathroom. The trade off was that deck 8 was a great place to be as it was central to the public areas of the ship but very quiet. Our suite steward was very pleasant and sweet, but did not get everything correct. Our fridge was not stocked with what we requested and we had a lovely bottle of wine but no corkscrew to open it! Small things but they added up to a less favorable rating than we expected when we booked Seabourn. Read Less

Pity the shaving mirror isn't fixed to a wall so had to kneel down to shave as there isn't a shelf on which it fits. Read Less
